South Korean car manufacturer KIA recently released its first pickup model - the 2026 KIA Tasman. The Tasman's design team has abandoned the familiar language of pickup types that has been dominant for decades, this new aesthetic method strips away unnecessary elements, highlighting the solid strength of the vehicle through simple and practical elements, and its rugged lines and huge Kia logo highlight its rugged off-road style.

The KIA Tasman has a cargo bed length of 1,512mm, width of 1,572mm (1,186mm between wheels), and depth of 540mm, providing 1,173 litres of cargo capacity (VDA), with a maximum payload of 1,195kg (in 2WD mode) and a towing capacity of 3,500kg.

The KIA Tasman offers three trim levels: base, X-Line and X-Pro to meet the needs of different consumers. Powerwise, the KIA Tasman offers a choice of a 2.5-liter gasoline engine and a 2.2-liter diesel engine, paired with either an 8-speed automatic transmission or a 6-speed manual transmission. Additionally, the KIA Tasman is equipped with a wealth of tech features, including dual 12.3-inch screens, wireless charging, Harman/Kardon sound system and more.

Not only is the KIA Tasman a high-performance pickup, it is also a versatile companion with its spacious cargo bed, foldable storage space and a variety of optional accessories, making it able to handle a variety of driving scenarios, whether it's daily commuting, outdoor adventures or commercial hauling, the Tasman can handle it. Worth noting, the car is also equipped with an advanced Driving Assistance System (ADAS), including Lane Keeping Assist, Blind-Spot Collision Warning, and Remote Parking Assist, among others.
