2024 Beijing Auto Show: Deepal G318 debuts

As the 2024 Beijing Auto Show is about to kick off, our forward shooting team has taken real car pictures of the Deepal G318. The car is positioned as a "new tech-hardcore" SUV and will be launched within 2024, targeting the market of 300,000 RMB. After listing, it will compete with hardcore SUVs such as Tank 400 Hi4-T and FangChengBao Bao5 to provide consumers with more hardcore SUV choices.

In terms of appearance, the overall style of the Deepal G318 is very hardcore with a hint of cyberpunk style featuring a classic squarish shape. The front end of the car is square, and is equipped with "C"-shaped LED daytime running lights. Additionally, the front bumper of the new car is very rugged and thick, full of wildness.

The lines on the side of the body are tough and three-dimensional, and with bulging wheel arch lines at the front and rear, five-spoke wheels, and AT tires, it shows a strong hardcore style. In addition, the new car also uses a hidden door handle design, and the bottom line of the window at the D-pillar has an obvious upward contour, which is quite different from the hardcore SUVs on the market, and looks more personality.

The rear of the car is equipped with a mounted spare tire symbolizing hardcore SUVs, and judging from the door handle design, the tail door will adopt a side-opening form. The tail light design also presents a “C” shape that echoes the front light group. In terms of extensibility, the Deepal G318 also provides a wealth of original extended pieces, including luggage racks, headlights, electric pedals, backpacks, spare tires, etc.

In terms of body size, the length, width, and height of the Deepal G318 are 4998/1985/1960mm, respectively, and the wheelbase is 2880mm. The overall size is close to that of Tank 400 Hi4-T.

In terms of interior, the interior style of Deepal G38 and the exterior follow the same route that combines sci-fi and hardcore elements, and most importantly, the luxurious interior is not weak. The middle of the Deepal G318's center console is equipped with a 14.6-inch smart screen, and the driver has a 12.3-inch full LCD instrument panel. The electronic gear lever adopts the design of a spaceship lever.

The front driver's view of the Deepal G318 is very wide. The interior uses a symmetrical design with three color schemes: Jungle Black, Glacier Blue, and Sacred Lake Green. In addition, the interior has just the right metal trim, door control buttons, and soft material wrapping on the door panels.

In terms of power, the Deepal G318 will be equipped with a super hybrid system and will provide a single-motor and dual motor version to choose from. It uses a 1.5-litre engine as a range extender, with a maximum power of 110 kW. The single-motor model has a maximum power of 185 kW for the drive motor. And the dual-motor model has a maximum power of 131 kW and 185 kW for the front and rear drive motors, respectively, and the system's maximum power reaches 316 kW.

For battery life, according to the declared information, the new car is expected to provide two battery packs with capacities of 18.99 kWh and 35.07 kWh. In addition, the Deepal G318 also has the function of turning in place.
