On the eve of the 2024 Beijing Auto Show, our forward shooting team captured the real car images of the all-new generation. The design of the new Haval H9 is classic and square, stiff and retro. In terms of color matching, its exterior will offer Smoke White, Tile Black, Stone Ash Grey, and Green Mountain Green for selection.

For the exterior, the new car's front face has a square air intake grille and retro round headlights. The air intake grille adopts a parallel line design and is decorated with rivets, giving it a unique visual effect. The lower part of the car is equipped with a protective plate to protect the head of the car from bumps in complex off-road conditions.

On the side of the car body, the waistline runs through the whole car body, and the lines are concave and convex, which shows the unique sense of power of the tough off-road. The crenellation-style large wheel arch design echoes the stiff body style that highlights the characteristics of the off-road vehicle. In terms of the tail, the new car has a standard off-road vehicle look, with the spare tire hanging outside and the longitudinal distribution of the rear light group all in place. Of course, the tailgate also continues the side-opening design. In addition, the gasoline version of the model can choose 17/18/19-inch wheels, while the diesel version only has 18-inch wheels. In terms of body size, the new car's length, width, and height are 5070/1960、1976/1930mm, and the wheelbase is 2850mm.

For the interior, the new car has been equipped with a new design style, a three-spoke multifunctional steering wheel, paired with a 14.6-inch suspended central control screen, which makes this car look very youthful. Also, the new car has been equipped with a new style of electronic shift lever to enhance the overall quality feel of the new car. In addition, the position of the central air conditioning air outlet of the new car is below the central control screen, which, combined with the functional physical buttons in the gear area, strengthening the overall feel. In terms of configuration, the car will be equipped with a one-key remote start, smartphone App remote monitoring, 540-degree panoramic imaging, panoramic fusion parking, FOTA upgrade, etc.

It's worth mentioning that the official changes have addressed the shortcomings of ride comfort for off-roaders. It has a rear-row head space of 901mm, rear-shoulder room of 1491mm, rear elbows room of 1567mm, and rear hips room of 1443mm. The second-row seats of the five-seat version can even be laid flat. Also, the trunk size of the new generation Haval H9 five-seat version is 791L (can place one 28-inch suitcase, two 24-inch suitcases, and two 20-inch suitcases), and the volume after the second row of the five-seat version is laid flat 1814L.

For the seats, the official adopted a seat design that is more conforming to the physiological curve of the human body, and added a 10mm comfort sponge to the foamed A surface (the visible area on the surface of the seat is collectively referred to as the A area). It adds a shock-absorbing layer to the seat, which offers good vibration absorbance to ensure users are free from vibration interference during driving and can achieve a relaxed state. The length of the seat cushion of the second row has been lengthened, reaching 522mm, resulting in a stronger leg support effect. This car will also offer 8 optional massage modes.

In terms of power, the new Haval H9 retains the 2.0T+8AT power system, and additionally introduces a 2.4T+9AT diesel power combination to meet the needs of diesel enthusiasts. The maximum power of the gasoline version is 165 kilowatts, and the maximum power of the diesel version is 137 kilowatts. In addition, the newly added towing qualification makes off-road capabilities stronger and the use of the vehicle more diversified. The significant increase in approach and departure angles further enhances off-road passability. Moreover, the car will also provide three differential locks for the front, middle and rear, and is equipped with a second-generation all-terrain control system.

Perodua Traz VS Toyota Yaris Cross, where does the Traz fall short?

Before the official launch of the Perodua Traz, market expectations were actually very high because it shares the same DNGA platform as the Toyota Yaris Cross. However, sharing the same platform does not equate to the same experience, and the Traz's final performance has indeed been disappointing. Perhaps it is precisely because of the delayed launch that it has almost no competitiveness in the current competitive environment.
