At the end of 2023, CHANGAN Motors unveiled its first batch of new energy products introduced to the Southeast Asian market, the DEEPAL L07 (corresponding to the domestic Deep Blue SL03) and DEEPAL S07 (corresponding to the domestic Deep Blue S7). They were officially launched at the Thailand International Motor Expo on November 29 and formally delivered to the Thai market in December.
At this year's Bangkok Motor Show, CHANGAN is preparing to introduce another electric vehicle targeted at the Thai market. It's called LUMIN, a small car with a three-door and four-seater layout. Firstly, at the front, LUMIN features a cute face with an overall sealed design, with the LUMIN brand logo positioned in the center of the front.
The outer edge of the elliptical-shaped front headlight features LED daytime running lights, with the internal light source likely being halogen. Paired with the decorative element on the upper half of the headlight assembly, it closely resembles an eye with an eyelid.
The LUMIN has a body length of 3270mm, a width of 1700mm, a height of 1545mm, and a wheelbase of 1980mm. The body features a dual-color design and comes equipped with concealed door handles. It rides on 14-inch three-spoke wheels.
The tail light design echoes the front headlights, and the design also looks like blinking eyes.
The Changan LUMIN is developed on the Changan EPA0 platform. In the Chinese version, there are two options for the front-wheel-drive single motor: one with a motor power of 30 kW, accelerating from 0-50 km/h within 6.5 seconds. And another with 35 kW power, capable of accelerating from 0-50 km/h within 6.1 seconds, with a top speed of 101 km/h.
Additionally, it comes with three battery capacities: 12.92 kWh, providing a pure electric range of 155 kilometers; 17.65 kWh capacity, offering a pure electric range of 210 kilometers. The top configuration includes a 27.99 kWh battery pack, providing a pure electric range of 301 kilometers.
