At the 45th Bangkok International Motor Show, Changan's DEEPAL brand unveiled two currently available models, namely the DEEPAL L07 and DEEPAL S07. At this exhibition, DEEPAL S07 introduced the DEEPAL S07 L model with a longer driving range. The official price is 1,499,000 Thai baht, and related purchasing benefits are provided, as detailed in the image below. For comparison, the previously available DEEPAL S07 had a pure electric range of 485 km.

The DEEPAL S07 presents its interpretation of the future through its design in a very intuitive way. On one hand, the S07 adopts the common enclosed front-end design typical of electric vehicles, which sets it apart from traditional fuel-powered cars. This distinction provides a sense of novelty, as electric vehicles' designs generally appear more futuristic. On the other hand, unlike many electric cars that embrace minimalist design, the S07 features exaggerated air vents on both sides of the front bumper, accentuated with black trim panels, making it easily recognizable even from a distance.
The design of this car is also well-suited for young people, despite not being particularly cheap. It boasts frameless doors and stylish 20-inch aluminum alloy wheels with aerodynamically optimized designs, contributing to reduced aerodynamic drag and thus enhancing the vehicle's range. The DEEPAL S07 measures 4750 x 1930 x 1625mm in body dimensions, with a wheelbase of 2900mm.

The interior of the S07 presents a very attractive sense of luxury. The wraparound cockpit design does have a bit of a luxury yacht feel to it, and the styling of its sporty steering wheel and perforated leather seats with diamond patterned stitches add to this atmosphere. The S07's seats have a very good wrap-around feel, with thick seat padding and a folded design on the sides of the headrests, which were once only available in high-end models of luxury brands.
Because of the use of a pocket gear design and the absence of a traditional gearbox structure, the central control console looks very clean, and there's plenty of extra storage underneath. Don't forget the excellent performance of the S07 in terms of passenger space that was mentioned earlier, there is no doubt about that this car has a high level of practicality.
DEEPAL S07 is equipped with a 15.6-inch touch screen and AR HUD system. Different from the traditional HUD system, AR HUD has a larger display area and can display dynamic navigation guidance. It can be said that all the driving information you need can be presented in a colorful dynamic form. For this reason, we cannot see a traditional instrument panel design on the S07.
This central control screen integrates most of the functions, with OTA upgrade, wireless Apple CarPlay function, gesture recognition and voice recognition system. It can recognize Thai and English and daily screen operation can be completed through voice control, which is highly intelligent. As the screen's hardware uses the high-end Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 chip, the response speed and smoothness of the overall system are absolutely fantastic!

The S07 is equipped with a full suite of driver assistance systems, including IACC adaptive cruise control, AEB active braking, BSD blind spot monitoring system, etc., but it does not support automatic lane change function. In addition to the 360° panoramic imaging system, S07 also has a transparent chassis function, which is necessary when driving on bad roads, you can see the situation underneath the vehicle's chassis, and avoid as much as possible the collision of rocks or other objects to the chassis to cause unnecessary trouble. The S07 is equipped with 6 safety airbags. If evaluated from a luxury perspective, this number is somewhat conventional. However, after checking the configuration of the same models for sale in China, it is found that Changan has not made any cuts in the safety configuration of the DEEPAL S07.
The S07 adopts a rear-wheel drive form, and is equipped with a permanent magnet synchronous motor on the rear axle of the vehicle. The maximum power of the motor is 190kW (258PS), and the peak torque is 320N·m. The battery capacity of the 485km endurance model is 66.8kWh, and the battery capacity of the model with longer endurance will be higher correspondingly.
