DENZA is a new energy brand positioned in the middle to high-end market under BYD, which is a joint venture brand between BYD and Daimler Benz. Currently, it is led by BYD in terms of research, development, and sales, and adopts advanced technologies from BYD, such as blade batteries. Among them, the D9 model of this brand is a high-end MPV product, which has performed well in the Chinese market and also made an appearance at the Bangkok Motor Show this time.
As a medium-large luxury MPV model, the DENZA D9 has a very domineering look. The new car adopts a brand new Party-Motion design language. In the front face, we can see the lines extending to both sides and the thick C-shaped chrome-plated strips on both sides, forming a Pai character (派). The interior of the grille is a large waterfall-style chrome grille, with a diamond-cut interior design, which is very domineering when combined. The storage inside the EV model's front face is a closed grille composed of multiple chrome-plated straight lines and a piano black panel.

Arriving at the side of the car, the DENZA high-end MPV also presents a more luxurious atmosphere. In addition, the D9 is equipped with electric sliding doors. It is worth noting that, unlike other conventional MPVs, this electric sliding door adopts a split design instead of opening along with the roof. The main advantages include reducing water accumulation, lowering wind resistance, improving interior NVH levels, enhancing body rigidity, and increasing overall passive safety. The rear of the car adopts the popular through-type taillight design, named the Space-Time Shuttle Star Feather Taillights. The styling is very exquisite, and the display effect at night is excellent, which has a very high recognition. The high-mounted brake light above the rear reaches a length of 1 meter, giving it a very stable overall appearance.

The interior design of DENZA D9 adopts what the official calls a "surrounding life cabin" design. The new car has hollowed out the area below the central control table to provide more storage space. The central control screen adopts a suspended style and has 128 ambient lights. In terms of materials, it uses wood-grain panels and a large amount of leather, which also makes it look very high-end.
The D9 is also equipped with the largest 15.6-inch central control screen in its class: featuring a minimalist interaction style, a brand new UI design, a zero-level map display, and simplified human-machine interaction logic to the maximum extent. It also features a 10.25-inch embedded full LCD 3D instrument panel: with 3D model restoration for a more realistic sensory experience. It comes with three exclusive high-end negative ion fragrances for W-HD9: Sunrise, Starry Sky, and Border Aurora providing a pleasant and comfortable travel experience. Combined with the largest-in-class 12.8-inch dual-headrest screens and second-row dual armrest screens, and along with smartphone connectivity, it can achieve a seven-screen interconnection.

In terms of power, the Chinese version of DENZA D9 offers two power modes: DM-i super hybrid and EV pure electric. It is equipped with both two-wheel drive and four-wheel drive dual-power assemblies. The NEDC maximum comprehensive range can reach 1040km, with a maximum NEDC pure electric range of 190km. It offers the flexibility of both fuel and electricity, ensuring a worry-free range for both city and long-distance driving. The 50km pure electric range version has an NEDC fuel consumption as low as 5.9L per hundred kilometers. Additionally, it is equipped with an 80kW DC fast charging system, with charging time from 30% to 80% taking only 25 minutes. The EV power system is based on the BYD Group's e-platform 3.0, featuring an eight-in-one motor, a wide temperature range high-efficiency heat pump (-30 to 60 degrees Celsius), and blade batteries. The longest range (CLTC) can reach 630km, with a maximum charging power of up to 166kW. Charging for 10 minutes provides a range of 150km, and the time to charge from 30% to 80% is 30 minutes.

Perodua Traz VS Ativa, which one is more worth buying?
Traz, as a newly launched mid-sized SUV, offers more spacious room and mainstream power compared to small SUVs, but its pricing appears slightly higher than that of Ativa. Ativa, on the other hand, is Perodua's long-time best-selling small SUV with more affordable pricing and a balanced combination of power and tech features.

Perodua Myvi and Bezza may undergo major upgrades in 2026
After the update, the Bezza will no longer be just a low-cost alternative but a core model in the Perodua system with greater market competitiveness and brand premium potential. The upgrade of the Myvi is not to be unconventional but to strengthen the brand and market, ensuring that the Myvi continues to maintain its irreplaceable position in the new round of product competition.

Perodua Traz VS Toyota Yaris Cross, where does the Traz fall short?
Before the official launch of the Perodua Traz, market expectations were actually very high because it shares the same DNGA platform as the Toyota Yaris Cross. However, sharing the same platform does not equate to the same experience, and the Traz's final performance has indeed been disappointing. Perhaps it is precisely because of the delayed launch that it has almost no competitiveness in the current competitive environment.

Will the Toyota Yaris Cross come to Malaysia? If it comes, how much will it sell for?
The launch of Perodua Traz indicates that the market size of small SUVs in Malaysia has been expanding in recent years. However, the question naturally shifts back to Toyota. As a brand with the most comprehensive product line and a strong foundation in both the SUV and hybrid sectors, will Toyota choose the Yaris Cross to participate in this small SUV competition?

Why is the Toyota Sienna so popular with so many people?
In Malaysia, most family MPVs choose Toyota Alphard, Vellfire, or Kia Carnival. These models each have their advantages in luxury, space, or brand influence, but models that truly balance large space, multifunctional practicality, fuel efficiency, and reliability are rarely seen.
