At the 45th Thailand Auto Show, the BYD booth exhibits the BYD Dolphin model. This model had already debuted at the last Bangkok International Motor Show. The Thai version continues the design style of the Chinese version, except for some adjustments to details in the exterior, and has been changed to a right-hand drive version. The local guide price for the Dolphin in Thailand is 799999 Thai baht.

In terms of design, the BYD Dolphin adopts the "ocean aesthetics" concept. The overall shape is simple and fashionable, and the contour is round and full, which has the dynamism and affinity of marine life. The full-width daytime running lights reveal an avant-garde and technological sense in the dynamic light.

The design of the full-width front middle mounted light is simple and dynamic, like the dolphin's smile that shows the friendliness of the dolphin. The design inspiration of the LED combination headlight comes from the "dolphin" eyes, which flashes the vigor. On the Thai version of Dolphin, black decorative strips have been added to both sides of the front bumper.

The side silhouette is smooth and dynamic, and the strong sense of motion depicted by three lines perfectly presents the posture of the "dolphin" leaping into the water, which is highly recognizable and futuristic. And the floating roof design makes the car more youthful and dynamic. In terms of size, the Chinese version of Dolphin is 4125/1770/1570mm in length, width, and height respectively, and the wheelbase is 2700mm. Such a size design ensures the comfort and practicality of the space.

The tail design is rounded and delicate, and the full tail line combined with the full-width LED tail light design is more layered. The intersecting tail light design is dynamic and fashionable.

BYD Dolphin adopts a suspended dashboard + central control screen design and is equipped with a skin care sensory interior that gives a gentle and considerate feeling. The interior is composed of smooth and stretched curves to create a surrounding visual effect, as if the occupants of the car are enveloped in waves, surfing with the "dolphin". The easy-going human-computer interaction mode can bring a unique car-human interaction experience, which makes common function operations readily available. It has a simple and exquisite shape, and superior touch that can bring a new human-machine interaction experience, which reduces the space occupied by physical buttons to create more convenience for storage.

Due to the pure electric vehicle attributes of the e-platform 3.0, the front and rear suspension of the BYD Dolphin are shorter, and the wheelbase reaches 2700mm, which provides more ample seating space. The front seats are designed in one piece with a hollow headrest. And the seat surface adopts a curved three-dimensional covering composed of spliced solid-color fabric and supplemented by a contrasting border with a strong personality, which makes the shape more fashionable. The seat fabric that has been perforated has a better ventilation effect and is more comfortable to ride in the summer.

The Thai version of the BYD Dolphin is equipped with a front motor with a maximum power of 70kW and a maximum torque of 180 N·m, and is matched with a battery pack with a capacity of 44.9 kWh. The pure electric cruising range under NEDC conditions is 410 kilometers.
