At the Bangkok Motor Show, MG showcased the new MAXUS 7, which is slightly less than MAXUS 9. It is a pure-electric 7-seater MPV, which is called MAXUS MIFA7 in the Chinese market. This car was launched in China in 2023 with both 6-seater and 7-seater versions, it is equipped with its self-developed Rubik's Cube battery, with capacities of 64kWh and 90kWh respectively, which can run 527 kilometers and 605 kilometers on a full charge.
It is worth noting that the starting price of this model in the Chinese market is 259,800 RMB, corresponding to 1.32 million Thai baht.

In terms of appearance, the front face adopts a flat geometric cutting shape, matched with a ring-shaped light strip and a T-shaped teardrop-shaped light group. Two stiff muscular lines on the hood extend to the position of the A-pillar, which establishes the overall line trend of the car. Moreover, the color scheme of the front face adopts a darker treatment method, without any redundant chrome decoration, adding a lot of sense of technology.

On the side of the car body, the straight staggered waist lines extend from the front fender to the rear of the car, coupled with hidden door handles, which makes the overall shape very simple. At the same time, the side of the car body also adopts a bicolored color layout. The windows and roof are both subject to darker design, with black skirts and smoke-black rims adding a lot of sporty feel to the new car.

The rear also adopts a minimalist square design, with a blackened "7" shaped tail light echoing the front. In terms of seating arrangement, the new car offers a 6/7 seat arrangement to meet user needs. In terms of body size, the length/width/height of the new car is 4907/1885/1756 (1768) mm, with a wheelbase of 2975mm.

In terms of interior design, the new car adopts a continuous large screen design for the central control, simplifying all physical buttons with a minimalist style. The layout between the central armrest box and the dashboard is transparent, and it continues the consistent interior layout characteristics of MPV models. At the same time, the central armrest box is very wide and is expected to have good storage space inside. Additionally, the central armrest panel provides wireless charging for phones and a conventional cup holder design. From the image, it can be seen that the steering wheel is the conventional circular multifunctional three-spoke type, paired with a gear shift lever.

The MIFA 7 offers two different seating layouts: a seven-seater version and a six-seater version. Among them, the most unique is the design of the six-seater version, which features a 2+1+3 seating layout, providing more diverse usage scenarios. In the six-seater version, the second-row right seat is removed. The front passenger seat can be freely moved between the first and second rows using an extra-long rail system measuring close to 2 meters at the base. Additionally, the seats can be electronically rotated forward or backward with a single button. The integrated seatbelt ensures passenger safety regardless of their position or orientation.

In terms of power, MIFA 7 adopts a front single motor layout, and the maximum power of the permanent magnet synchronous motor is 180kW, and the peak torque is 350N·m. Thanks to the low wind resistance design and the BMS, the 77kW·h and 90kW·h two battery versions can respectively obtain the endurance results of 527km and 605km under the CLTC standard.

The cube battery adopts the CTP "lying" structure and all-aluminum body encapsulation process that bring ultra-high integration. The thickness of the battery pack is only 125mm, which allows everyone to have a lower platform compared to other pure electric MPVs. The optional battery swap version will also rely on SAIC's nationwide swap stations to have the fastest 2.5 minutes full charge departure energy replenishment efficiency, which not only makes energy replenishment more flexible to alleviate range anxiety but also uses the 90kW·h battery through battery swap that provides an opportunity for customers who choose the 77kW·h battery. It perfectly balances city commuting, long-distance travel, and vehicle cost.
