JamesFeb 23, 2024, 09:25 PM
Founded in 1990, the Beijing International Auto Show (Auto China) is held every two years in Beijing, and has been held continuously for ten sessions, covering a development history of 20 years so far.
Establishment of the Beijing Auto Show
Since its beginning, the Beijing International Auto Show has expanded in scale and its functions have developed from a simple product display to a window for the release of enterprise development strategies and comprehensive image displays; a platform for global information exchange on cutting-edge technology innovation; and the most efficient stage for brand promotion and publicity. The quality of the exhibits has improved with each edition and its influence is increasingly broadening, with many multinational automotive companies listing the Beijing Auto Show as a global A-tier auto show. Adhering to the idea and features of running exhibitions with fine exhibits, full brands, and internationalization, the Beijing Auto Show has become a brand exhibition with a high reputation internationally, playing an important role in the development of China's automobile industry and the establishment and development of indigenous automobile brands, and contributing significantly to the promotion of exchanges and cooperation between domestic and foreign automobile industries, and the rapid development of China's exhibition economy.

The Ninth Beijing Auto Show
In 2006, the ninth Beijing Auto Show set new records in terms of exhibition scale, number of exhibitors, number of visitors, number of media interviews, and quality of exhibits, generating positive reactions domestically and overseas. Central leaders visited the exhibition site in person, fully affirming the positive role and influence of the Beijing Auto Show. The successful holding of the ninth Beijing Auto Show indicates that China, as an important part of the global auto consumer market, has received high attention from international auto multinational groups. The 10 debut vehicles exhibited demonstrate that multinational groups have considered the Chinese auto market as an important component of their strategic marketing. The collective appearance of domestic auto groups and enterprises at the 2006 Beijing Auto Show also showed domestic and overseas individuals the determination and confidence of the Chinese auto industry to strive to catch up with the developed countries in the world auto industry.

The Tenth Beijing Auto Show
The 2008 (10th) Beijing International Auto Show was held for the first time at the China International Exhibition Center (New Museum). It used all eight indoor exhibition halls of China International Exhibition Center New Museum, with an indoor exhibition area of 106,000 square meters, a domestic and international auto parts exhibition area of 60,000 square meters, and a commercial vehicle exhibition area of 20,000 square meters. The total exhibition area of the exhibition exceeded 180,000 square meters, not only being the biggest in the history of the Beijing International Auto Show but also breaking new records for auto shows in Asia and China. The total number of visitors reached 680,000 person-times, including 30,000 overseas visitors from 108 countries and regions.
At this exhibition, more than 2,100 companies from 18 countries and regions around the world participated in the exhibition, including 225 foreign manufacturers and more than 1,800 domestic manufacturers.
