BYD Launches New Atto 3 in Malaysia with Price Reduced by RM26,000

【PCauto】Recently, BYD has unveiled the new ATTO 3, with the price of the new model decreased by RM26,000 compared to the previous version, bringing the current price to RM123,800. Major specifications remain largely unchanged, and the new model does not incorporate BYD's DiPilot 100 technology.

In terms of features, the new ATTO 3 carries forward the traits of its predecessor. Built on BYD’s e-platform 3.0, it is equipped with blade battery technology that excels in ensuring battery safety, laying a solid foundation for stable vehicle operation.

When it comes to safety performance, the ATTO 3 has earned a five-star safety rating from the European New Car Assessment Programme (Euro NCAP). This indicates that both the structural design of the vehicle and a range of active and passive safety configurations—including six airbags, an adaptive cruise control system with follow-me capability, and door-opening alerts—meet international safety standards, safeguarding the well-being of car users.

The interior boasts a smart cockpit designed with a sporty and fitness-inspired concept, featuring a unique style. The 15.6-inch smart rotating touchscreen operates smoothly, providing a user-friendly interface for navigation, multimedia entertainment, and vehicle information access. Furthermore, the model supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, addressing consumer needs for seamless integration between smartphones and the vehicle system. Additionally, amenities are included such as a panoramic sunroof, heated power side mirrors, a 5.0-inch LCD instrument panel, faux leather seats, a six-way power-adjustable driver’s seat (four-way for the front passenger), a 360-degree camera, tire pressure monitoring, electronic parking brake with auto hold function, LED headlights and taillights, and adaptive front lighting—all providing comfort and convenience.

It is worth noting that BYD has employed a similar pricing strategy in the Chinese market to expand its market share. By optimizing production processes and reducing supply chain costs, the company has successfully lowered prices while keeping vehicle configurations largely unchanged. This initiative allowed the BYD Qin to stand out in the competitive Chinese market, resulting in significant sales growth.
Now, BYD aims to replicate this success in the Malaysian market with the new ATTO 3, reducing the price while maintaining the same features in hopes of attracting more Malaysian consumers to choose BYD electric vehicles.

To ensure a worry-free purchase experience, BYD is also offering generous benefits for the ATTO 3, including a six-year/150,000 km comprehensive warranty and an eight-year/150,000 km warranty for the drive motor.
