[PCauto] BYD Song Ultra EV officially begins pre-sale. The new car not only features the stunning FLASH Charging technology, but also pushes the performance of the second-generation Blade Battery (or BLADE BATTERY 2.0) to new heights.
The pre-sale price range for Song Ultra EV is set at 155,000 to 185,000 RMB (approximately 89,000~106,000 MYR).
In addition to its affordable pricing, BYD is offering an attractive benefit for early reservation customers—up to 18 months of free FLASH Charging.

This new car's most compelling core feature is the standard inclusion of the second-generation Blade Battery across all configurations, along with the brand's self-developed FLASH Charging technology.
Under normal temperature conditions, the Song Ultra EV takes only 5 minutes to charge from 10% to 70%, and just 9 minutes to charge to 97% near full capacity.
The battery pack is available in two configurations: 75.616 kWh and 82.732 kWh, corresponding to a CLTC range of 620 km and 710 km respectively.
This means that while having a cup of coffee at a highway rest area, the vehicle can regain a driving range of more than 400 km.
Even under extreme cold conditions at -30°C, the system’s charging efficiency only increases by about 3 minutes compared to normal temperatures.

The Song Ultra EV is built on the latest e-Platform 3.0 Evo, featuring a single motor rear-wheel drive layout across all models with a maximum output of 270 kW (362 hp).
To handle the demands of its powerful performance, the vehicle is equipped with the DiSus-C intelligent damping body control system and a high-speed blowout stability system, further enhancing active safety.

Step inside the Song Ultra EV, and you'll immediately sense how deeply BYD understands the needs of family buyers. The new car boasts a 2840 mm long wheelbase, with interior space that transcends its class and rivals many midsize SUVs.
The most special feature is undoubtedly its Big Bed Mode, which allows the front seats to recline completely back and seamlessly connect with the rear seat cushions, forming a spacious mobile resting area.
In terms of tech configuration, the 15.6-inch adaptive rotating floating Pad remains the visual focal point, while the optional DiPilot 300 intelligent driving assistance system, supported by laser radar and 300 TOPS computing power, is now capable of handling extremely complex narrow road scenarios such as urban villages.

BYD's intention with the launch of the Song Ultra EV is very clear. In China's mainstream consumer market, buyers often waver between the convenience of fuel-powered vehicles and the intelligence of pure electric vehicles.
Through the application of second-generation blade battery technology, BYD is pushing EV charging times close to what it takes to fill a tank, which not only imposes significant survival pressure on fuel-powered cars in the same segment but also presents a technological challenge to pure electric brands.
