BYD: The 'Dream Factory' of the Electric Vehicle Market, Selling 340,000 units per month!

On August 1, BYD announced its sales data for July. A total of 342,383 units were sold in July, of which 340,799 were passenger cars, a year-on-year increase of 30.5%. From January to July this year, the cumulative sales of passenger cars reached 1,947,944, which has surpassed the total sales of last year (1.8634 million units). As of now, BYD has sold over 8.3 million electric cars, and it is expected that the 9 millionth electric car will be off the production line in early October, achieving a new milestone.


In terms of brands and models, BYD Dynasty/Ocean sold 328,178 units in July, a year-on-year increase of 31.3%. Dynasty Line sold 172,930 units in July, and the cumulative sales from January to July this year were 954,827. In July, BYD Han sold 18,053 units, Tang sold 12,056 units, Qin sold 73,541 units, Song sold 28,328 units, and Yuan sold 40,952 units.s

Ocean Line sold 152,767 units in July, including 36,947 units of the SONG PLUS series, 36,256 seagulls, 33,595 seals, 25,558 Destroyer 05 Honor Editions, 12,399 dolphins, 7,007 Lion 07 EV, and 689 BYD e2 Glorious Edition, 316 Escort 07 Honor Edition.
Other brands include Denza Auto sold 10,340 units in July, Yangwnag Auto sold 439 vehicles, and the Fangchengbao brand sold 1,842 units. In terms of overseas markets, BYD exported a total of 30,014 units in July, a year-on-year increase of 65.2%.
