Changan's new energy brand AVATR is about to make a new move, the third model under the brand, namely AVATR 07, has been officially released through the official channel. From the pictures, the AVATR 07 is an SUV model, and its potential competitors might be models like Tesla Model Y. This is because several Chinese media have predicted that the price of the new car will be around 250,000-350,000 RMB, which overlaps with the price of Model Y.

Although AVATR has not yet sold models in our market, the DEEPAL brand from the same Changan is gradually exerting its strength. In April this year, DEEPAL S07 surpassed BYD Dolphin and became the champion of new energy vehicle sales in Thailand in a single month, which also indirectly confirmed Changan’s strength in new energy vehicles. In addition, it is worth mentioning that AVATR has a very deep cooperation with HuaWei on the ADAS system, which is also a highlight of the brand.

From official pictures, it can be seen that the new car adopts the AVATR 2.0 design concept. It is also the first AVATR model equipped with a range extender, and of course, there is also a pure electric version to choose from. The approximate price range of the new car will be between RMB 250,000 and 350,000. And it is expected to officially debut in the second half of this year.

In terms of design, AVATR 07 continues the family-style design style, and expands innovation based on AVATR 2.0. The front face shape highlights the futuristic science fiction feel. The family's split-type headlights and C-type LED daytime running lights are also retained. If it is a range extender model, the lower grille retains the heat dissipation port setting.

Additionally, the new car uses HuaWei's new generation of lidar on the roof, and it is expected to use HuaWei's latest smart driving technology, and the fenders on both sides of the body also have sensing probes.

The car side adopts nearly hunting-style design, followed by the elegant body lines, which can see a clear waistline from the front fender all the way through to the rear door handle, with the window waistline tilting upwards. In addition, it is equipped with not only hidden door handles, but also external electronic rearview mirrors.

The length, width, and height of the AVATR 07 body are 4825mm/1980mm/1620mm, with a wheelbase of 2940mm, which is just a little smaller than AVATR 11. The new car is equipped with rear privacy windows and panoramic sunroof. In addition, the new car in the official picture is likely to be a range extender version, because there are covers on both sides, and it is expected that the left side is a charging port and the right side is a fuel filler. Finally, the new car in the official picture is equipped with the same 21-inch 8-spoke wheel hub as AVATR 11, and the tire size is 265/45 R21.

As for the tail part, the new car adopts a sleek tail light group, which is similar to AVATR 12, and the rear surround styling echoes very well with the front face. Finally, the window area of the rear car is much larger than that of AVATR 11.

In terms of power, AVATR 07 will be equipped with pure electric and range-extender power forms, and will be equipped with CATL's new generation of lithium iron phosphate super charging batteries (estimated to be Shenxing batteries, which can achieve 400 kilometers of energy supplement in 10 minutes of charging). AVATR 07 will be Avita's first range-extender version model that owns dual power and has rear-drive and four-wheel drive forms at the same time. And later this year, AVATR 11 and AVATR 12 will also join the increased city version models.
