DEEPAL S05 official photo released, wheelbase 2,880mm

On May 15, DEEPAL officially released photos of its brand new model - the DEEPAL S05. The new car is a C-segment SUV, with a wheelbase of 2880mm, and offers range-extended and pure electric options. At present, the new car has completed its declaration and is expected to officially launch in China within the year.

In terms of appearance, DEEPAL S05 continues the company design style, with an overall design that is technological, stylish, and dynamic. The front face of the new car adopts a closed design, with elongated headlight group on both sides of the upper part. The front bumper on both sides is equipped with a high and low beam light group and is decorated with a triangular panel. And combined with the trapezoidal air inlet below, it creates a nice sense of layering.

On the side of the body, DEEPAL S05 adopts a protruding double waistline design, the upper waistline extends from the front wheel eyebrow to the taillight, and the lower waistline rises from the bottom of the front door to the middle and lower part of the back door, creating a downward diving attitude with a very strong sense of movement. At the same time, the new car also adopts hidden door handles, low-resistance wheel hubs and other detailed designs, which will bring lower wind resistance performance, thereby reducing energy consumption.

At the rear of the body, DEEPAL S05 uses a symmetrical design approach. With a spoiler at the top, high-position brake lights aligned vertically with the badge in the middle, and complemented by through-type taillights and anti-scrape guard plates at the bottom, the whole rear design is simple yet layered.

In terms of body size, the length, width and height of DEEPAL S05 are 4620/1900/1600mm respectively, and the wheelbase is 2880mm. The body width and wheelbase have reached the size of a D-Segment SUV, so it is believed that there will be a big surprise in the interior space.

In terms of power, the DEEPAL S05 will offer a choice of super-hybrid and pure electric. According to the declaration information, the pure electric version is equipped with a maximum power of 175 kilowatts driving motor, and the maximum speed can reach 180km. It is equipped with a lithium iron phosphate battery pack, but the specific endurance performance has not been revealed yet.

The hybrid version is equipped with a 1.5-liter four-cylinder extender with a maximum power of 72 kilowatts, a maximum driving motor power of 160 kilowatts and a top speed of 175 km/h. In terms of endurance, it will provide lithium iron phosphate battery packs with capacities of 17.08 kWh and 27.28 kWh, and the CLTC pure electric endurance mileage is 100km and 150km respectively.

In terms of price, as a reference, the current DEEPAL S7 is priced between 149,900 and 217,900 RMB, and the DEEPAL S05, which is positioned lower, is expected to drop to 120,000 RMB.
