[PCauto] On January 6, 2026, Chinese automotive media released a series of road test photos of the Denza D9L, bringing key updates to the MPV market.

As the flagship extended-wheelbase version of the current Denza D9, the D9L aims to build upon the existing model's success and achieve further breakthroughs in the high-end domestic MPV segment.
We will now examine this vehicle in terms of its dimensions, exterior design, detailed features, and more.

First, the overall silhouette of the Denza D9L remains similar to the current D9, retaining the same design language with refinements in certain details. Although heavily camouflaged, the D9L still reveals relatively straight body lines, which should contribute to a more spacious and practical interior.
In terms of body size, the length of the Denza D9L reaches 5400 mm, 150 mm longer than the current Denza D9. The extended part is mainly located in the rear side area between the front and rear doors. Coupled with an estimated wheelbase of around 3.2 meters, the new model's interior space, particularly in the third row, is expected to be significantly enhanced.
In addition, the Denza D9L is equipped with brand new 7-shaped headlights. The internal light signature design enhances nighttime visibility and lends the overall appearance a more premium feel.

Second, the Denza D9L's detailed design emphasizes both practicality and a sense of premium sophistication. The laser radar device at the front of the roof is clearly visible, providing hardware support for the vehicle's intelligent driving functions.
Furthermore, the new vehicle features dual power sliding doors, facilitating passenger entry and exit—a feature particularly suited for business use. The second and third rows are equipped with privacy glass, bringing passengers a more private riding experience. These detailed designs meet the practical needs of MPV models while enhancing the car's high-end feel with a simple and organized design style.

Finally, the configuration upgrades of the Denza D9L are focused primarily on intelligent driving. The D9L is equipped with an advanced intelligent driving assistance system. Paired with the laser radar on the roof, it supports urban road automatic navigation driving and all-scenario automatic parking, effectively improving commuting efficiency.
Furthermore, the vehicle frame is equipped with the DiSus-A intelligent body control system. Compared to the DiSus-C system in the current D9, this new-generation system offers a wider adaptive adjustment range, providing more stable chassis feedback over bumpy roads and during high-speed cruising.

It is worth mentioning that the highly praised zero-gravity seats and Devialet audio system found in the current model are likely to appear in the new car in an upgraded form.
Another important point is the power configuration. The new car will offer both plug-in hybrid and pure electric versions.
- Plug-in Hybrid (PHEV):
Expected to be powered by a 2.0T engine paired with hybrid technology, targeting a pure-electric range exceeding 300 km (CLTC) and a combined range of over 1,100 km.
- Pure Electric (BEV):
Based on BYD's Super e-Platform. High-end variants are expected to deliver a combined power output exceeding 640 kW, enabling a 0-100 km/h acceleration time in the 4-second range and a CLTC range of approximately 620 km.

Currently, the interior details and final pricing of the Denza D9L have not been disclosed. However, based on the information revealed, this 5.4-meter-long premium MPV demonstrates strong competitiveness in terms of exterior design, detailed features, and overall configuration.
It is expected to become a significant product for domestic models to enter the high-end MPV market, providing consumers with a new option.
