Huawei Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance(HIMA) and Chery jointly unveil the Luxeed V9
Luxeed V9 aims to rival Toyota Alphard / Xpeng X9, combining intelligent features, luxury experience, and practical range
Luxeed V9 is currently planned for sale in China, but overseas markets are also worth anticipating

[PCauto] As competition in China's electric vehicle market extends from sedans and SUVs to MPVs, the partnership between Huawei Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance(HIMA) and Chery Automotive has once again drawn industry attention.

Recently, the first electric MPV jointly created by both parties—Luxeed V9, It marks the official entry of HIMA into the luxury MPV market.
This high-end model is planned to debut in the first quarter of this year, with technical configurations and size parameters directly competing against popular MPVs like Toyota Alphard and XPeng X9.

- The dimensions of the Luxeed V9 are 5359 mm × 2009 mm × 1879 mm, with a wheelbase of 3250 mm. The large body ensures flexibility in the interior space layout.
- In terms of performance, the Luxeed V9 features a 1.5L turbocharged engine (maximum power of 154 horsepower) paired with a dual-motor system.
- The battery offers two options: a 37.017 kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery and a CATL 53.352 kWh ternary lithium battery.
- Its range performance is practical as well, with a WLTC combined range of up to 1200 km and a pure electric range of up to 223 km.

As a high-end model under HIMA, the core advantages of the Luxeed V9 lie in its intelligent technologies and luxurious configurations. The new vehicle is equipped with HIMA’s full suite of technical solutions:
- The roof is equipped with a lidar, supporting advanced autonomous driving functions;
- The power system is built on Huawei's DriveONE 800V silicon carbide high-voltage platform, enabling ultra-fast charging;
- The front design features oval-shaped LED headlights combined with a through-type LED light strip, along with a wide grille to enhance the sense of technology;
- The side profile has smooth lines, paired with chrome trim and 19-inch wheels;
- The rear features through-type LED taillights and a central "Luxeed" logo.

And then, upon entering the interior, it is evident at a glance that the configuration indicates a luxurious orientation.
It features a 2-2-3 seat layout, with the second row consisting of individual zero-gravity seats that include leg rests and can rotate 180 degrees.
Additionally, it is equipped with front triple screens, a rear roof entertainment screen, an onboard refrigerator, an oxygen generator, and more.

It is worth mentioning that the new car is equipped with the industry's first helmet airbag, further enhancing safety performance.
But currently, the sales plan for the Luxeed V9 is focused only on the Chinese domestic market, with no plans for overseas expansion at the moment.
However, for Southeast Asian consumers, if this MPV, which combines Huawei's smart technology with Chery's manufacturing expertise, has the opportunity to enter the local market in the future, it is bound to compete alongside traditional luxury MPVs such as the Toyota Alphard and Buick GL8.
And considering its range-extended powertrain and relatively high pricing, adapting to local charging infrastructure and consumer habits will be priority issues to address if it eventually plans to enter overseas markets.

The entry of the Luxeed V9 will undoubtedly further intensify competition in China's new energy MPV market.
This cooperative model between Huawei and Chery not only achieves a complementary synergy between tech companies and traditional car manufacturers but also provides a practical model for the premiumization of new energy vehicles.
So this cross-sector innovation may influence the collaboration direction and product development strategies of more car companies in the future.
