Official images of the new generation MG5 releases! 1.5T+7DCT, the sport style remains!

On August 12, SAIC MG released the official images of the new generation MG5. The new car adopts a new design and is equipped with the Zebra Venus intelligent car system. And it provides two four-cylinder engines, 1.5L and 1.5T, for choice in terms of power.

In terms of appearance, the new MG5 adopts the "Hunting Pupil" design language of the SAIC MG family. The front air inlet adopts a large-size vertical design, supplemented with a brand new lamp group, it fully shows a sporty atmosphere. The side of the car body inherits the classic Fastback sloping roof design of the MG brand, which creates a strong visual impact and unique brand recognition. In terms of body size, its length, width and height are 4715/1842/1473mm, respectively, and the wheelbase is 2680mm.

The interior of the new MG5 is designed with light sports in mind. It uses a black and red color scheme and is equipped with new generation dynamic seats and a D-shaped multifunctional sports steering wheel that create a young and sporty interior atmosphere. In terms of intelligence, the new MG5 is equipped with a 12.3-inch instrument + 12.3-inch high-definition floating control large screen, equipped with the Zebra Venus intelligent vehicle system, it can support voice control, vehicle-home interconnection and other functions, which makes driving more convenient and safe.

As for the power, the new MG5 will continue to be equipped with two options of 1.5L and 1.5T four-cylinder engines. The 1.5L engine has a maximum power of 129 horsepower and a peak torque of 158 N·m, and it is matched with a 5-speed manual transmission or a CVT continuously variable transmission. The 1.5T engine has a maximum power of 181 horsepower and a peak torque of 285 N·m, and it is matched with a 7-speed wet dual-clutch transmission. In addition, the new car will also be equipped with the XDS corner dynamic control system, EPS-PRO intelligent adjustable steering system and variable cross-section sports rear suspension, which will bring a better driving experience.
