Perodua Ativa may launch a new model? Key upgrade on ADAS system

As the first car built on the DNGA platform, the Perodua Ativa leverages the advantages of this platform to become a very popular SUV in its segment.
The biggest advantage of the Perodua Ativa is its safety. It is equipped with 6 airbags, and the entire range comes with an ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System) to enhance safety.
This ADAS system includes features such as Pre-Collision Braking (PCB), Forward Departure Alert (FDA), Lane Departure Warning (LDW), and more, making the Perodua Ativa one of the safest vehicles in its class. What's impressive is that the starting price of the Perodua Ativa is only RM62,500, and the most expensive version is just RM73,400.
As a result, the Perodua Ativa has been well-received in the market since its launch. In the first half of this year, the Ativa's cumulative sales reached 17,741 units, with an average of 2,950 units sold per month. In comparison, the Proton X50 sold only 9,978 units during the same period.
In other aspects, the Perodua Ativa is powered by a 1.0L three-cylinder turbocharged engine, which performs well in terms of fuel economy. The engine produces a maximum of 98 horsepower and 140Nm of torque, achieving 18.9 kilometers per liter of fuel.
The Ativa comes with a 9-inch central touchscreen (which supports only phone screen mirroring), keyless start, and a full-size spare tire.
Inside the cabin, the Perodua Ativa offers several clever design features. For example, there is a lit tray in front of the gear shift lever and a storage space for glasses beside it. There is also a hidden cup holder beneath the air-conditioning vents, and the second row of seats can be folded 60:40. These user-friendly features make the Ativa even more popular.
Despite its affordable price, the Perodua Ativa is not without its shortcomings. There have been rumors that Perodua will soon release an upgraded version of the Ativa to further improve its market competitiveness. The upgrades may include support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, as well as enhanced ADAS functionality.
If you are considering purchasing a Perodua Ativa, it would be a good idea to keep an eye out for updates on the new model, as the upgraded features could provide you with an even better driving experience.
