Pre-orders for Proton e.MAS 7 now open: Identical to Geely Galaxy E5 in source, size, and power!

Proton e.MAS 7 is expected to officially go on sale in December 2024, and the model is currently available for pre-order on the EON website, with a refundable deposit of RM500 required. EON is one of Proton's main dealers and has 10 branches in Malaysia, with its Glenmarie and Damansara branches now designated as the official dealers for Proton e.MAS.
The Proton e.MAS 7 model is positioned as a C-class SUV, specific details of its body size have not yet been released by Proton, we do know that it's 4615mm in length, with a wheelbase of 2750mm. This happens to align with the body size of the Geely Galaxy E5, so we can deduce that the dimensions of this car are 4615mm/1901mm/1670mm, with a wheelbase of 2750mm.

Proton e.MAS 7 was jointly developed by Proton and Geely, and many of the car's specifications are identical to those of the Geely Galaxy E5. According to Proton officials, the car's zero-to-100 acceleration time is 6.9 seconds, which suggests that Proton e.MAS 7 and Geely Galaxy E5 will share a power system, equipped with a single front-mounted engine that produces 218 PS (160 kW) and 320 Nm of torque.
In terms of battery life performance, Geely Galaxy E5 is equipped with Honeycomb Energy's lithium iron phosphate battery in the Chinese market, with battery capacity ranging from 49.53kwh to 60.22kwh, and the overall continuation performance ranging from 440km to 550km. According to the 192kwh/kg Energy Density released by Proton's official website and the "S" logo in the picture, it can be inferred that Proton e.MAS 7 will be equipped with Geely's self-developed Shield Short Knife battery. This battery is based on the 800V voltage architecture, the charge multiple can reach 2.45C, and it only takes 17 minutes and 4 seconds to charge from 10% to 80% SOC.
According to the propaganda on Proton's official website, Proton e.MAS 7's in-car system will have Flyme Auto and a 2.5K resolution touchscreen. From this, it can be inferred that the central control screen of this car will be 15.4 inches based on Geely Galaxy E5, and the onboard chip is equipped with the 7nm intelligent cockpit chip "Dragon-Eagle-One". It is reported that the performance of this chip in all aspects benchmarks Qualcomm's intelligent cockpit chip Snapdragon 8155.
