【PCauto】Volvo has announced that it will unveil its new all-electric sedan, the ES90, on March 5th. This vehicle embodies Volvo's cutting-edge achievements in electrification, intelligence, and sustainable development.

The Volvo ES90 is built on the SPA2 platform, skillfully blending classic family elements with innovative design. The iconic "Thor's Hammer" LED headlights are highly recognizable, and the unique split-style taillight design stands out. The classic silhouette of a three-box sedan, combined with a streamlined roof, hidden door handles, and a roof-mounted LiDAR, gives the car a stylish and tech-savvy appearance.

In terms of range and charging performance, the ES90's 800V electrical system is a highlight. The battery pack is expected to achieve a WLTP range of over 700 kilometers and supports 350kW fast charging. With the new battery management system, the vehicle can replenish 300 kilometers of range in just 10 minutes, and charge from 10% to 80% in only 20 minutes.

Technologically, the ES90 demonstrates formidable capabilities. It is the first to feature dual Nvidia Drive AGX Orin chipsets, offering unparalleled core computing power among Volvo models. This configuration increases the vehicle's AI computing performance eightfold compared to the DRIVE AGX Xavier. As data accumulates and models continue to develop, the scale of deep learning models and neural network parameters will expand, delivering an enhanced user experience and significantly improving safety performance.

The ES90 is equipped with 1 LiDAR, 5 radars, 8 cameras, 12 ultrasonic sensors, and an in-car advanced driver understanding system, collectively forming the "Safety Space Technology." This system accurately perceives the surrounding environment, detects obstacles in time, and activates proactive safety measures, ensuring comprehensive driving safety.

The Volvo ES90 adheres to a "human-centric" product philosophy. In its nearly century-long history of car manufacturing, Volvo has always prioritized people, and the ES90 is a vivid embodiment of this philosophy. Every configuration and design inside the car fully considers user needs. For example, "Safety Space Technology" aims to create a safe and secure space for both occupants and pedestrians, ensuring peace of mind for every journey. The advanced human-machine interaction system is user-friendly, intelligently adjusting according to user habits, providing a comfortable driving experience as if the vehicle understands every intention of the user and responds thoughtfully.

During production, the ES90 extensively uses recycled and natural materials, reducing environmental impact from the source. At the same time, Volvo discloses the sources of rare metals in the battery pack and their carbon footprint, demonstrating the company's high sense of responsibility and transparency in environmental protection and supply chain management, contributing to sustainable development.

On March 5th, the Volvo ES90 will officially unveil its mysteries, and more details about it will be revealed at that time.
