Recently, Xpeng officially unveiled the interior layout of the Xpeng MONA M03, which adopts a minimalist design style, featuring a 15.6-inch floating center control screen and a through-type air conditioning outlet. The Xpeng MONA M03 has already started pre-ordering, and will be launched within August.

From the actual vehicle, it can be seen that the interior has almost no physical buttons, and even the traditional dashboard is removed. All information and content in the car are concentrated on the 15.6-inch floating center control display. The steering wheel uses dual-color coating and a flat-bottomed design, with only two dials controlling some of the adjustable functions. The steering wheel and the area behind the center control screen have a narrow through-type air conditioning vent design.

According to the currently received information, the new car's machine uses an 8155 chip, reaches 16GB of memory, and adopts a fully self-developed car machine system. The lower personalized commonly used menu can reduce the operation steps of commonly used functions. In addition, it also supports card-style interaction, multi-finger flying screen (supports two-handed, three-finger, four-finger touch) operation and four-sound-zone intelligent voice assistant to enhance operational convenience. The car machine supports 360-degree panoramic imaging and 3D perception rendering map, and there are a variety of mini-programs in the app store to enrich the entertainment system.

In regards to the AI drive and voice assistant, He Xiaopeng revealed that the wake-up phrase for the Xpeng MONA M03 is still "Hello Xiao P"! And there will be even more interesting ways to play with it. As for the vehicle's AI driving ability, various driving solutions are provided according to the different needs of the Xpeng MONA M03, which gives users more choices. He Xiaopeng emphasized that the Xpeng MONA M03 has the strongest AI driving capabilities in its class.

In the audio system, the Xpeng MONA M03 will be equipped with 18 PSS custom speakers, with a maximum power of 840W, creating a 7.1.4 panoramic sound field for an acoustic experience. In addition, it is equipped with a 1.35m wrap-around ambient light of 256 colors to render the interior atmosphere, and for the first time comes with an original music atmosphere map, which allows lyrics to appear on the screen with the music rhythm, etc.

In terms of comfort, the front seats are well wrapped, support electric adjustment and are equipped with seat heating, ventilation and memory functions. The co-pilot supports one-key switching between comfortable co-pilot/spacious rear mode. The comfortable co-pilot adjusts the backrest and front and rear positions at a ratio of 70%, while the spacious rear moves the co-pilot 50% forward. The sunshade is equipped with a beauty LED soft light. It is worth noting that the Xpeng MONA M03 comes standard with a panoramic large skylight with a visible area of up to 1.22m².

The center island in the car consists of cup holders, cellphone wireless charging, storage grid and central armrest, which is very rich. In addition, its trunk space can reach 621L, the rear seats support a 4/6 ratio fold down, which can be extended up to 1603L. It is worth noting that the Xpeng MONA M03 is a four-door five-seat hatchback, and there are not many products in the same class that use a hatchback door. The advantage of this design is that there is a large storage space. As a reference, the trunk volume of the Tesla Model 3 is 594L.

In terms of control, the Xpeng MONA M03's 100-0km/h braking distance is 35.4 meters, the turning radius is 5.3 meters, ensuring stability while also being highly flexible. According to previously declared information, the maximum power of the MONA M03 motor is 160kW and 140kW, and the pure electric range is 620km and 515km respectively.

The front face of the Xpeng MONA M03 adopts a sealed design, the whole front of the car can be described as very simple. And there is a carbon fiber front lip at the bottom of the front, which is actually an AGS fully integrated active air intake grille, which can balance and optimize air resistance and electric propulsion cooling demands according to different vehicle speed situations to achieve intelligent adjustment of opening and closing, this air intake grille is standard on all models. Finally, the front bumper is equipped with four reversing radar probes. In terms of color, the Xpeng MONA M03 will have five initial colors, and two body color names have been announced so far, one is called Starry Tan and the other is called Starry Blue.

Next, there are faint muscle lines on the engine hood, and the front Logo is still Xiaopeng's mark. The two sides of the front of the car are T-shaped LED headlights that have not appeared in previous Xiaopeng car products, which can be considered a new design detail. The highlight of the headlight is that after it is lit, it presents a “0, 1, 0” effect through more than 300 LED beads inside.

Another striking design feature of this car is its low wind resistance. The coefficient is 0.194cd, which is measured at 160km/h and is the lowest in the world for mass-produced electric hatchback cars. Tesla Model 3's coefficient is Cd 0.219. So how did Xpeng MONA M03 achieve this low wind resistance effect? Firstly, its front window has a very large tilt angle, reaching 63.4 degrees. However, similar designs might squeeze the headspace of the front passengers, but the engineers said there is not to worry about this problem. Coupled with the active air intake grille mentioned above, this achieves a low wind resistance effect.

In terms of body size, the length of Xpeng MONA M03 is 4780mm / width 1896mm (same as Xpeng P7) / height 1445mm, and the wheelbase is 2815mm. Although it is a compact car, its length and width are both larger than its main competitor, Model 3. It's worth mentioning that Xpeng MONA M03 has achieved a length-to-height ratio of 3.31, a width-to-height ratio of 1.31, and a wheel-to-height ratio of 0.47, statistically surpassing the current golden ratio of a sports sedan. These numbers make the car look very wide and flat, low and sporty.

The whole car has smooth lines, while some details of the body have aerodynamic kits, and also a concealed door handle design. Through these designs the wind resistance coefficient decreases by 30%, and the energy consumption per hundred kilometers can be reduced by 15%. The proportions on the side are natural, without too many edges and corners design, mainly a round and simple modeling effect. And the side skirts are equipped with vertical decorative boards. Finally, there are sensor cameras on both wing panels.

The design details of the rear of the car echo the front of the car. Firstly, it has the same T-shaped taillights, which show the same effect of the headlights after lighting. Secondly, the middle of the trunk cover has an obvious curved shape, and Xpeng's name is engraved in the middle. In addition, there is a small tail fin design at the end of the tail, and a black shield below it.
