Official news reveals that Xpeng will launch a new generation of sedan products, the Xpeng P7+, in the fourth quarter of this year. Xpeng P7+ boasts the advantages of high aesthetic value and large space, with a wheelbase of 3 meters and a length exceeding 5 meters, providing more choices for family users. Meanwhile, Xpeng P7+ will be the launch model of Xpeng's new generation of autonomous driving hardware platform. As a result of surpassing the set goals of cost reduction in autonomous driving hardware and overall car BOM, Xpeng P7+ possesses advantages in technological innovation and cost, which are hard to replicate by competitors.
In addition, He Xiaopeng, chairman and CEO of Xpeng, stated that Xpeng will promote XNGP to more models at the 150,000 RMB level to become the world's first car company that achieves advanced intelligent driving assistance on models at the $20,000 level. Within 18 months, Xpeng aims to have XNGP's AI smart drive mass production cars to benchmark the software usage experience of top-class Robotaxi overseas, aiming to achieve hundreds of kilometers in the city only need to take over once, and based on L2 hardware and cost to make software capabilities and user experience reach L3+. Under an affordable cost structure, consumers will embrace AI smart drive cars as quickly as they switched from fuel cars to electric cars in the past 5 years.
He Xiaopeng revealed that Xpeng will announce more innovative technological breakthroughs in the fields of AI big model, robotics and Robotaxi at the Xpeng MONA M03 launch event on August 27 and the annual Science Day on October 24.
Xpeng has begun to enter a period of rapid development in the long-term layout of international models and has become an important driving force for sales and profit growth. In the second quarter of this year, Xpeng ranked first in the export sales of mid-to-high-end pure electric models in Chinese brands, that is, sales above 30,000 U.S. dollars, and contributions from overseas sales exceeded 10% for the first time. In addition, Xpeng G9 has become the best-selling mid-to-large pure electric SUV in Norway, Denmark and Israel, and has also entered the top three in its class in Sweden and the Netherlands.
In the third quarter of this year, after the Xpeng G6 was first listed in overseas markets, the order demand was strong, and Xpeng will launch the left-hand drive version and the right-hand drive version of the G6 in August. As of July, Xpeng has entered 30 countries and regions including Europe, the Middle East and Latin America through dealer partners and has more than 70 sales stores. In the second half of this year, Xpeng will enter more right-hand drive markets including the United Kingdom, Australia and multiple countries in Southeast Asia, and the number of overseas sales stores is expected to double in the second half of this year.
