Since the launch of the right-hand drive version of the Xpeng X9 in Hong Kong, it has gained significant attention from Toyota Alphard owners. Now, Xpeng plans to introduce the X9 to Singapore next month, with a strong possibility of launching it in Malaysia in 2025.

With its luxurious features, intelligent technology, and excellent range, the Xpeng X9 is expected to become the electric MPV equivalent of the Toyota Alphard in Malaysia.

The exterior design of the Xpeng X9 continues the unique style of the Xpeng family, with a highly recognizable full-width light strip at the front, sharp headlights, and a mesh front bumper, giving the vehicle’s front end a youthful and dynamic look.

The side profile of the vehicle is clean and smooth, with side mirrors integrated into the door and a wide body crease that runs from the front to the rear, emphasizing a strong sense of power. Additionally, the X9 features a unique rear window tilt, providing a modern visual impact.

The X9 features a three-row seating layout, offering an interior space of 7.7 square meters. The second-row seats are independent and come with an in-car entertainment system and a refrigerator, significantly enhancing the comfort of rear passengers. The circular light strip in the roof creates a striking visual effect when illuminated at night, enhancing the ambiance inside the cabin.

Of particular note is the X9's third-row seating design, which is highly user-friendly. Despite the sporty fastback body design, the third row still provides ample headroom and supports one-touch electric folding, greatly enhancing the vehicle's flexibility and space utilization.

The Xpeng X9 is equipped with a front and rear dual-motor system, with the front motor delivering a maximum power of 235kW and the rear motor providing 135kW. It offers two battery options: 84.5kWh and 101.5kWh, with three range options: 610km, 640km, and 702km, catering to the different needs of consumers.

It is worth noting that the X9 uses an 800V high-voltage SiC (silicon carbide) platform, with a consumption of about 17.7kWh per 100 kilometers. It supports ultra-fast charging, with just 10 minutes of charging adding 300 kilometers of range, significantly enhancing convenience for long-distance travel.

The Xpeng X9 is expected to be priced at around 230,000 MYR, with the higher-spec version possibly reaching 270,000 MYR. Compared to the Toyota Alphard, the X9 offers exceptional value for money, thanks to its advanced electric technology, luxurious features, and powerful performance.

Perodua Traz VS Ativa, which one is more worth buying?
Traz, as a newly launched mid-sized SUV, offers more spacious room and mainstream power compared to small SUVs, but its pricing appears slightly higher than that of Ativa. Ativa, on the other hand, is Perodua's long-time best-selling small SUV with more affordable pricing and a balanced combination of power and tech features.

Perodua Myvi and Bezza may undergo major upgrades in 2026
After the update, the Bezza will no longer be just a low-cost alternative but a core model in the Perodua system with greater market competitiveness and brand premium potential. The upgrade of the Myvi is not to be unconventional but to strengthen the brand and market, ensuring that the Myvi continues to maintain its irreplaceable position in the new round of product competition.

Perodua Traz VS Toyota Yaris Cross, where does the Traz fall short?
Before the official launch of the Perodua Traz, market expectations were actually very high because it shares the same DNGA platform as the Toyota Yaris Cross. However, sharing the same platform does not equate to the same experience, and the Traz's final performance has indeed been disappointing. Perhaps it is precisely because of the delayed launch that it has almost no competitiveness in the current competitive environment.

Will the Toyota Yaris Cross come to Malaysia? If it comes, how much will it sell for?
The launch of Perodua Traz indicates that the market size of small SUVs in Malaysia has been expanding in recent years. However, the question naturally shifts back to Toyota. As a brand with the most comprehensive product line and a strong foundation in both the SUV and hybrid sectors, will Toyota choose the Yaris Cross to participate in this small SUV competition?

Why is the Toyota Sienna so popular with so many people?
In Malaysia, most family MPVs choose Toyota Alphard, Vellfire, or Kia Carnival. These models each have their advantages in luxury, space, or brand influence, but models that truly balance large space, multifunctional practicality, fuel efficiency, and reliability are rarely seen.
