[PCauto] The Zeekr 007 GT officially went on sale on April 15, with a starting price of approximately 12.35 million Malaysian Ringgit.
Four sub-models were introduced in the local market:
- Rear-wheel drive version 75kWh, range 585km, priced at RM122,543
- Rear-wheel drive long-range version 100kWh, range 650km, priced at RM136,187
- Four-wheel drive version 75kWh, range 730km, priced at RM140,385
- Four-wheel drive long-range version 100kWh, range 825km, priced at RM154,491
For reference, the starting price of the Zeekr 007 is approximately RM12.78 million. In other words, the Zeekr 007GT, as a hunting vehicle, is actually cheaper.
Although the exterior of the Zeekr 007GT retains some design elements of the Zeekr 007, such as the clamshell bonnet, however, sections similar to ventilation holes have been added to both sides of the surround, and the lower surround shape is even more exaggerated, giving the overall style a more sporty feel.
The Zeekr 007GT is equipped with an active air intake grille, which can automatically adjust to open and close according to the vehicle's driving conditions, optimize air flow to reduce wind resistance, which can effectively improve the vehicle's energy efficiency performance under Southeast Asia's complex road and climate conditions.
The side lines of the Zeekr 007GT are significantly different from those of the Zeekr 007. From the C-pillar onwards, the Zeekr 007GT presents a typical hunting vehicle shape. However, the design of the floating roof is different, with a more robust extension of the dome, similar to the rear design of the Zeekr 001, for a more harmonious side visual effect.
The side skirts are designed in the same color as the body and have added a black decoration line that extends from the front of the car to the rear. The line direction parallels with the roof rack, effectively lowering the visual height of the vehicle.
In contrast, Zeekr 007 features a more traditional design of sedan side line. In the automobile market, the shape of hunting vehicle is relatively novel, while Zeekr 007GT's unique design is expected to attract consumers pursuing personality and practicality.
The rear design of the Zeekr 007GT is similar to that of the Zeekr 001, but the lines features more muscular and rounded lines. It incorporates a larger two-piece spoiler on the roof, while the full-width taillights utilize Super Red hyper-red technology for enhanced visibility. A subtle black ducktail spoiler completes the dual-wing design when combined with the roof spoiler.
In addition, Zeekr 007GT offers two sizes of 19-inch and 20-inch alloy wheels, corresponding to different tire sizes, able to meet consumers' different requirements for appearance and performance.
The interior of the Zeekr 007GT also differs from that of the Zeekr 007, with the all-new steering wheel which adds a sporty feel.
Below the center console, the Zeekr 007GT offers additional storage space – a design upgrade that enhances the vehicle's practicality for consumers who prioritize cabin space utilization.
The Zeekr 007GT features a dual-tone interior color scheme, equipped with a flat-top-and-bottom three-spoke steering wheel and a 15.05-inch 2.5K OLED sunflower-style central touchscreen that supports three-way rotation to meet various usage scenarios. It also comes with a full LCD curved instrument panel and AR-HUD head-up display function, creating a highly technological driving atmosphere.
The intelligent cockpit of the Zeekr 007GT has been upgraded to the ZEEKR OS AI system, incorporating AI large language models capable of recognizing over 150,000 vehicle control commands and providing more than 30 active intelligent services, including blind spot visual detection alerts during startup, proactive warnings for dangerous positioning between trucks ahead or behind, and other functions.
In terms of powertrain, the Zeekr 007GT adopts an 800V platform, offering both single-motor rear-wheel-drive and dual-motor all-wheel-drive versions. The single-motor RWD version delivers a maximum power output of 310kW, while the dual-motor AWD version has a combined power output of 475kW.
For battery options, the vehicle provides a choice between lithium iron phosphate (LFP) and ternary lithium battery packs, with capacities of 75kWh and 100kWh respectively. The CLTC-rated range varies across different versions, offering options of 585km, 650km, 730km, and 825km.
In terms of the chassis, the Zeekr 007GT features a front double-wishbone and rear multi-link independent suspension setup, equipped with an air suspension system that supports 5-level ride height adjustment. Additionally, the suspension includes an easy-access function.
The Zeekr 007GT comes standard with lidar and dual NVIDIA Orin-X autonomous driving chips, delivering 508 TOPS of computing power, and is equipped with the latest Hozon Auto Pilot 2.0 system, which enable the vehicle to achieve functions like intelligent navigation assist pilot, automated valet parking, continuous automatic obstacle avoidance, and sentry mode.
The Zeekr 007 also comes equipped with intelligent driving features, but the Zeekr 007GT offers more comprehensive standard hardware for autonomous driving. In urban traffic congestion and complex road conditions, the 007GT's advanced intelligent driving capabilities can effectively reduce driver fatigue and enhance safety. For instance, during rush hour traffic jams, its intelligent navigation assist pilot function can automatically follow vehicles and maintain safe distances.
As a distinctive model in the Zeekr lineup, the 007GT differs from the Zeekr 007 in multiple aspects like the unique exterior of hunting vehicle, sporty interior design, enhanced performance, complete autonomous driving configuration, and the reduced price. All in all, the 007GT offers better value for money compared with the Zeekr 007.
