Overview of the series

The Proton Iriz was launched in 2014 and is a model under Proton. In the new era of cooperation between Proton and Geely, it has received a facelift.

Power system

It is equipped with a 1.6-litre engine, delivering 109 PS and 150 Nm of power. Although the transmission response has been improved, there is still a slight delay in power delivery when accelerating through the gears, especially when carrying four passengers. At a constant speed of 110km/h, the engine reaches 3000rpm, which is higher than expected. The 0 to 100 km/h sprint takes 11.6 seconds, while the 0 to 60 km/h time is 5.1 seconds, and it takes 4.2 seconds to decelerate from 100 km/h to 0.

Fuel consumption

Fuel economy is not impressive. Over a distance of 112.1 km (70% city roads, 30% highways), it consumes 9.38 liters of fuel, equating to 8.36 L/100km.

Interior configuration

It is equipped with a 7.0-inch GKUI touchscreen infotainment system with online connectivity (available only on the top Premium model). It supports voice commands, Baidu Maps navigation, and online music streaming. However, the system's operation is not very intuitive.
