At the 2024 Beijing Auto Show, a brand new Sedan, the BYD Dynasty Qin L, made its official debut. The new car is positioned as a C-segment Sedan, with a product positioning between the BYD Han and Qin PLUS. Its wheelbase reaches 2790mm and it is equipped with BYD's latest hybrid technology. It has the advantages of stronger power, lower fuel consumption and fewer emissions. The expected price is around 120,000 RMB.
In terms of appearance, the BYD Qin L adopts the latest family-style design, and inherits the classic Dragon Face aesthetics of the Dynasty series. The front face part of the Dragon Face has further evolved, and it is somewhat similar to the style of the Dynasty flagship model "Han", with a wide and stylish design. The LED headlights on both sides are more slender and sharp, which integrates more harmoniously with the front grille. Besides, the use of a dot matrix design inside the grille achieves a more exquisite and dynamic visual effect, which also further enhances the sense of luxury.
Looking at the side of the car body, the Qin L adopts a fastback design, which presents a "wide and low" stance. Two simple main body lines outline the momentum of the dragon soar, and the roof line is full and smooth, extending a dynamic fastback shape.
At the rear of the car, the through-tail light design continues. The internal shape is similar to BYD Han, it is used the "Chinese Knot" element, which is more recognizable and appears more premium. In addition, the slightly lifted small spoiler design is also a finishing touch, adding a few more points of sportiness to the Qin L.
In terms of body size, according to previous declaration information, the length, width, and height of Qin L are 4830/1900/1495mm respectively, and the wheelbase is 2790mm, which is close to the D-segment standard.
Regarding the interior, the design inspiration for the Qin L interior comes from Chinese landscape painting. The dynamism of the oriental landscape merges with modern technology, creating a high-style "landscape painting cockpit." The overall layout is still simple and stylish, it is equipped with an 8.8-inch embedded LCD instrument and a 15.6-inch rotating control screen. Carrying the DiLink smart internet connection system, it supports smart cloud services, full-scenario digital key, 3D panoramic transparent chassis system, intelligent voice continuous dialogue, wireless phone charging, and intelligent power on and off functions.
In terms of power, Qin L will be equipped with a plug-in hybrid system composed of a 1.5L four-cylinder engine and an electric motor, equipped with BYD's latest generation of DM-i hybrid system. The maximum power of the engine is 74 kilowatts, the electric motor is divided into high and low power, with a maximum power of 120 kilowatts and 160 kilowatts respectively. The new car is equipped with lithium iron phosphate batteries from Zhengzhou Fudi, with battery packs of 10.08 kilowatt-hours and 15.874 kilowatt-hours available, and their corresponding pure electric cruising ranges are 80km and 120km, respectively. In addition, the new car also supports a maximum external discharge power of 6 kilowatts.
On the chassis side, Qin L adopts a front McPherson type, rear E-type four-link independent suspension, taking into account both handling performance and comfort.
