2024 Proton X50 launched, priced from RM 86,300, and came standard with power tailgate

Since its launch at the end of 2020, the Proton X50 has been a hot seller in the Malaysian market. Four years later today, Proton launched the 2024 Proton X50. Although the appearance and interior trim have hardly changed, this B-class SUV has significantly improved in convenience and practicality.

Price and Version
The 2024 Proton X50 continues to offer four versions, the power system has not been adjusted, and the price remains unchanged. The specific prices are as follows:

- 1.5T Executive – RM 93,300
- 1.5T Premium – RM 101,800
- 1.5 TGDi Flagship – RM 113,300
Convenience Upgrade

The focus of this upgrade is convenience. First of all, the Premium and Flagship versions will come standard with an electric tailgate. This feature previously was only offered as an optional accessory, but it is now installed directly by the factory.
In addition, Proton stated that the 2024 X50 has made more than 20 improvements in noise, vibration and harshness (NVH), and added more sound insulation materials to improve the quietness of the vehicle.
Upgrade of Vehicle Information Entertainment System

In terms of car machines, the 10.3-inch infotainment car machine has been significantly upgraded, equipped with a new dual quad-core processor, 4 GB RAM and 64 GB storage capacity. Proton claims that the computational performance of the new host is 3.3 times higher than the old model, the startup speed increased by 33%, and the loading time shortened by 55%.
The new infotainment system car machine will be standard on all models, replacing the 8-inch car machine of the Standard version and the Executive version, and the previous 10.25-inch car machine of the Premium and Flagship versions. In addition, the update of Apple Carplay is also in the plan, which is expected to be launched in the near future. And it is expected to be used as early as July.
360-degree panoramic camera

The 2024 Proton X50's 360-degree panoramic camera pixel has increased by 3.3 times and added the blind spot monitoring function. When changing lanes, it will provide a 3D real-time picture, this function also showed on the Proton X90. The 360-degree panoramic camera is only available on the Premium and Flagship versions.
Power system

The power system remains the same. Except for the Flagship version, all versions are equipped with a 1.5-liter turbocharged multi-point injection three-cylinder engine, with a power of 150 PS and a torque of 226 Nm. The Flagship version is equipped with a 1.5-liter turbocharged direct injection three-cylinder engine, with a power of 177 PS and a torque of 255 Nm.
Color choices
The 2024 Proton X50 offers five color choices: Snow White, Armour Silver, Jet Grey, Ocean Blue, and Passion Red.
