It comes with new 18-inch black wheels, dual-zone automatic climate control, advanced keyless entry, rain-sensing wipers, black leatherette seats, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. Starting from this trim, Alexa voice assistant is standard, supporting voice control of vehicle functions and smart home devices.
The 2.5 S Preferred trim further adds a power sunroof, heated front seats, and an 8-way power-adjustable driver’s seat. The sedan version offers an optional Greige leatherette seat, with prices at $27,090 (sedan) (114,604 MYR) and $28,440 (hatchback) (121,000 MYR).
The exclusive Carbon Edition features Polymetal Gray metallic paint and red leather interior. It comes standard with the i-Activ all-wheel-drive system, wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, and Qi wireless charging. The sedan is priced at $30,210 (128,000 MYR), and the hatchback is priced at $31,450 (134,000 MYR).
The top-spec 2.5 Turbo Premium Plus is equipped with a 2.5T turbocharged engine delivering 250 horsepower and 320 lb-ft of torque. It features a 10.25-inch touchscreen, Bose 12-speaker sound system, 360-degree surround view monitoring, and a heated steering wheel. The sedan version is priced at $36,740 (approximately 156,000 MYR), while the hatchback version is priced at $37,890 (approximately 161,000 MYR).
The hatchback version also offers a 2.5 S Premium manual transmission version (6MT) priced at $31,360 (approximately 133,000 MYR), designed for users who prioritize driving enjoyment.
The 2026 Mazda3 features minor front grille design adjustments and adds new paint options such as Polymetal Gray, but no significant changes have been made to the powertrain, which continues to offer 2.5-liter naturally aspirated and 2.5T turbocharged options.
Transmission options include a 6-speed automatic (with manual mode) or a 6-speed manual, with front-wheel drive or optional all-wheel drive (on certain trims). Technology upgrades include the addition of traffic sign recognition and automatic reverse braking in top-tier models, while the entire range retains Mazda3's dynamic driving characteristics.
Mazda3 Maintains Stable Sales in the North American Market
From January to July 2025, Mazda's North American sales reached 255,000 units, a year-on-year increase of 5.4%. While crossovers and SUVs constitute a significant proportion, the Mazda3 remains an important representative in the compact sedan segment.
The new model’s starting price remains below the $30,000 threshold, highlighting its value-for-money advantage in the context of inflation. In other words, the Mazda3 is leveraging configuration upgrades and pricing strategies to address market competition, especially the pressure from electrified vehicles.
Mazda 3 Still Holds Its Ground in the Fuel Vehicle Market
The launch of the 2026 Mazda3 shows that Mazda is still investing in the compact sedan market by refining configuration levels and strengthening standard equipment to enhance product appeal.
Although the industry trend leans towards electrification, the Mazda3 persists with internal combustion engine power, focusing on driving experience and practical functionality. In the future, strategies may be adjusted based on market feedback. The new car will arrive at dealerships in late summer this year, and consumers can choose different configurations and body styles based on their needs.
