Another Choice for Mini Pure Electric Vehicles: CHANGAN LUMIN EV to Be Unveiled at Bangkok Auto Show
AshleyMar 19, 2024, 06:36 PM
China's famous car brand CHANGAN will exhibit a mini electric car — LUMIN EV at the upcoming Bangkok Auto Show. This model has performed well in the Chinese market and has received much attention in the field of micro-electric vehicles.

LUMIN EV is an affordable all-electric small car launched in China in 2022, with main competitors including the Wuling Hongguang MINI EV, Chery eQ1, and other models. The car's cute and exquisite appearance, incorporating traditional Chinese elements, has certain market potential. Its rounded body lines, panda-themed detail design, and lively color scheme can attract a specific group of people. At the same time, the design that integrates traditional Chinese elements also gives it certain cultural connotations.
The exterior of the car comes in seven colors: yellow, pink, white, green, gray, turquoise, and blue.

The interior materials are more delicate in many details than those of Wuling Hongguang MINI and Chery eQ1. In addition, there are more interior color schemes, which is not simple compared to vehicles of the same price range.
There are two versions of the power specifications of the LUMIN EV in the Chinese market.
One version has a maximum power of 48 horsepower and a maximum torque of 87 nm, with a cruising range of up to 205 kilometers or 301 kilometers. The other version has 41 horsepower and 79 nm of power parameters, with a cruising range of 155 kilometers and 210 kilometers respectively.
While such power performance is sufficient for daily urban commuting, considering the driving ability and top speed, the performance of long-distance travel or highway driving is not ideal. The basic configuration of the model is comprehensive, such as front row safety airbags, reversing radar/reversing image, uphill assistance, multifunctional steering wheel, 7-inch LCD instrument, and 10.25-inch control screen, etc., which ensures a comfortable driving experience for the driver.
