ZEEKR X, a pure electric SUV that breaks 100 in 5.8 seconds, Debuts at the Bangkok Motor Show

ZEEKR may not be very familiar to most Thai car fans, but it is a high-end pure electric brand from China that has been sold in the Chinese market for several years and has gained unanimous approval. It is the high-end new energy brand under the GEELY brand, and ZEEKR has not yet officially sold in the Thai market. Therefore, the cars displayed at this auto show are all from China and use left-hand drive design. In addition to ZEEKR 009, there is also a compact SUV that is popular in the Chinese market, which is ZEEKR X.
In the Chinese market, ZEEKR X has just welcomed the 2024 model on sale, with a price range of RMB 200,000-220,000.
In terms of appearance, the 2024 ZEEKR X has not been adjusted, it continues the styling design of the old model. The new car was created by a team led by Stefan Sielaff, ZEEKR's global chief designer. The style is unique, with a no-door handle design, frameless door design, frameless rear-view mirror design, and hidden exterior water cut, which are clean and neat to achieve the improvement of aesthetic design and aerodynamics.


In terms of body dimensions, the ZEEKR X is positioned as a compact SUV, with lengths, widths, and heights of 4450/1836/1572mm respectively, and a wheelbase of 2750mm. In terms of exterior color options, the new ZEEKR X lineup features Sydney Bay Blue as the standard color, with the addition of Suzhou Ink Grey. The latter draws inspiration from the ink painting scenery of Suzhou's small bridges and flowing water. The new car also offers consumers the choice of Paris Deep Rice, Hangzhou Green, California Sunset Pink, Athens Cloud White, and Berlin Silver Grey.



In terms of interior design, the new car continues the layout design of the previous model, and is equipped with a 14.6-inch electric sliding smart 8.8-inch full LCD instrument panel and a flat-bottomed multifunction steering wheel. It is equipped with the ZEEKR OS intelligent vehicle system and has not upgraded to the 8295 chip, but continues to be equipped with the 8155 chip, supporting dual-zone voice wake-up recognition, facial recognition, gesture control, 5G network, in-car biometric monitoring system, remote control via mobile app, and more.
In terms of configuration for the Chinese market version, all models come standard with luxury features including 19-inch wheels, L2-level advanced driving assistance system (22 intelligent driving sensors), 360-degree panoramic imaging, electric trunk, keyless entry, adaptive headlights, panoramic sunroof, rear privacy glass, heated steering wheel, AR-HUD head-up display, 50W wireless charging for mobile phones, ventilated/heated front seats, driver's seat massage/memory, 13-speaker Yamaha sound system, multi-color ambient lighting, in-car fragrance and so on. Additionally, the new car also adds off-road mode, welcome mode, driver's stress relief vibration, music rhythm, and other configurations.

In terms of power, the new ZEEKR X continues to offer the option of single-motor rear-wheel drive and dual-motor all-wheel drive models. The single-motor model has a maximum power of 200 kilowatts and accelerates from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in 5.8 seconds. As for the range, it is equipped with a 66-kilowatt-hour ternary lithium battery pack that provides a pure electric range of 560 kilometers under CLTC conditions.
Meanwhile, the dual-motor model adds a front motor with a maximum power of 115 kilowatts, while the rear motor remains at 200 kilowatts. The system's combined power is 315 kilowatts, and it accelerates from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in 3.7 seconds. In terms of range, it is also equipped with a 66-kilowatt-hour ternary lithium battery pack that provides pure electric ranges of 500 kilometers and 512 kilometers respectively under CLTC conditions.
