[PCauto] On April 16, BYD officially announced its strategic expansion into the European market, specifically targeting the Czech and Slovak markets. This initiative not only injects new vitality into these regions but also highlights BYD's ambitions for international growth.
By the end of 2025, BYD plans to open up to 20 stores in Slovakia and 30 stores in the Czech Republic, striving to establish a comprehensive service network covering both countries.

In recent years, the acceptance of electric vehicles in the Czech Republic and Slovakia has gradually increased, with policies increasingly leaning towards the new energy sector, creating a favorable environment for the development of electric vehicles.
For its initial product launch, BYD is introducing several competitive SUV models to users in the Czech Republic and Slovakia, especially the most expected flagship model Sealion 07 EV.

Designed by a team led by Wolfgang Josef Egger, the Sealion 07 EV is based on BYD's e-platform 3.0. It utilizes a Cell-to-Body (CTB) technology for integrated battery and body architecture, coupled with BYD's latest generation of intelligent driving technology.

The Sealion 07 EV features the fastest motor in any mass-produced vehicle, reaching speeds of up to 23,000 revolutions per minute. This, combined with its rear-wheel and all-wheel drive powertrain, iTAC technology, as well as independent front double-wishbone, rear five-link suspension systems and Yun Nian C Intelligent Damping Body Control System provides users with robust power output and an exceptional driving experience.
Under China’s CLTC testing cycle, the long-range version of the Sealion 07 EV offers an impressive range of 610 km. In terms of intelligent driving assistance, it is equipped with the DiPilot 100 advanced intelligent driving assistance system, covering six core intelligent driving functions for navigation assistance, including automated on-ramp and off-ramp transitions and active obstacle avoidance.

The initial models entering both markets also include the globally popular family SUV, the Song PLUS DM-i. This vehicle, known for its excellent fuel efficiency, comfortable ride experience, and rich features, offers a high-quality travel option for family users.

Additionally, BYD plans to introduce the compact electric SUVs Atto 3 and Seal to the Czech and Slovak markets at an appropriate time. The Atto 3, with its stylish design, nimble handling, and commendable range performance, is expected to carve out a niche in the local small electric SUV market. Meanwhile, the Seal, with its outstanding performance and unique design, is set to attract consumers seeking individuality and high performance.
