The Thailand Motor Expo 2024 will be held from November 29 to December 10, 2024, featuring numerous automotive brands, with a particular focus on Chinese electric vehicle (EV) manufacturer BYD. During the event, BYD, in collaboration with DENZA, will showcase its vehicles at booth A06. One of the highlights will be the BYD SEALION 7, a model that has already gained attention in the Thai market.

The BYD SEALION 7 is available in Thailand in two variants, with a price range of THB 1,149,900 to THB 1,249,900. The SEALION 7's main competitors in the region are the Tesla Model Y and the recently launched Xpeng G6, which is also from China. One of the key advantages of the SEALION 7 is its potentially lower price compared to the Tesla Model Y, offering better value for money. Additionally, the vehicle supports AC slow charging up to 11 kW and DC fast charging up to 150 kW, with a 30-80% charge taking around 30 minutes.

In terms of power performance, the AWD Performance version of BYD SEALION 7 is equipped with dual motors, with a maximum power of 530 horsepower and a maximum torque of 690 Nm. It carries a Blade Battery with a capacity of 82.5 kWh, and the maximum cruising range is 542 kilometers under the NEDC standard. The acceleration time from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour is 4.5 seconds, and the maximum speed is 225 kilometers per hour.
The maximum power of the Premium version is 230 kilowatts (313 horsepower), the maximum torque is 380 Nm, it also carries a Blade Battery with a capacity of 82.5 kWh, and the maximum cruising range is 567 kilometers under the NEDC standard, the acceleration time from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour is 6.7 seconds.

In terms of body size, BYD SEALION 7 is longer and wider than the other two models, while its wheelbase of 2930mm is still smaller than that of the Tesla model Y with a wheelbase of 2980mm, which would result in differences in the seating space.
The dimensions of BYD SEALION 7 are 4,830 mm in length, 1,925 mm in width, 1,620 mm in height, and 2,930 mm in wheelbase.
Tesla Model Y measures 4,750 mm in length, 1,921 mm in width, 1,624 mm in height, and 2,980 mm in wheelbase.
Xpeng G6 dimensions are 4,753 mm long, 1,920 mm wide, 1,650 mm high, and 2,890 mm wheelbase.

In terms of interior and configuration, BYD SEALION 7 is equipped with electrically adjustable seats, seat heating and ventilation system, automatic tailgate, LED headlights, panoramic sunroof, etc. At the same time, it is equipped with a 10.25-inch 3D LCD instrument panel and a 15.6-inch multimedia touch screen, supporting DiLink network connection and OTA upgrade. It is also equipped with a 12-speaker DYNAUDIO sound system, 128-color ambient lighting, NFC car key, etc.

BYD SEALION 7 is also equipped with a variety of safety and technology configurations, including automatic emergency braking, lane-keeping assist, blind-spot monitoring, etc.
