[PCauto] With the rapid development of new energy vehicles, BYD, as the leading enterprise of new energy vehicles in China, continues to increase its R&D spending in intelligent driving technology. Recently, BYD announced that its self-developed "End-to-end Urban Intelligent Driving" technology will be mass-produced within the year, marking a significant breakthrough for the company in the field of autonomous driving.

The "End-to-end Urban Intelligent Driving" technology skips the traditional complex middle processing steps, outputs vehicle control instructions directly from sensor data, significantly improving efficiency and accuracy. The technology adopts high-precision millimeter-wave radar, vision fusion plan and high-performance chip, combined with deep learning algorithms, to achieve precise environmental perception and quick data processing. Special optimization has been made for Chinese urban traffic characteristics such as high-density traffic flow and variable lanes, improving vehicle performance under complex road conditions.

The mass production of "End-to-end Urban Intelligent Driving" technology will further enhance BYD's technical reputation in the field of intelligent driving, enhance BYD's market competitiveness, and lay the foundation for the intelligent upgrade of subsequent models. For the vehicle industry, the "End-to-end Urban Intelligent Driving" technology  promotes the popularization and development of China's autonomous driving technology, accelerating the technological upgrading and standard improvement. Consumers will enjoy a safer and smarter driving experience. Besides that, lower driving threshold will attract more potential users.

BYD plans to continue iterating technology to improve the vehicle's handling ability in extreme weather and complex scenes, to achieve higher levels of autonomous driving functions. In the future, "End-to-end" technology may play a bigger role in areas like logistics transportation and shared mobility.
