The engine model is a code compiled by the engine manufacturer under relevant regulations, company, and engine attributes, for a batch of identical products, used to represent the engine manufacturer, specifications, performance, features, technology, use and product batches, and other related information.

The engine model consists of four parts.

The front includes the product series code, replacement symbol, and local and corporate codes. The manufacturer selects the appropriate letters as needed, but must be standardized, approved, and filed by the industry.

The model year indicates the year of a single model, so long as the actual cycle does not exceed two legislative years, the actual production year of the vehicle can be disregarded.
