Geely Galaxy V900 Extended Range MPV Officially Launched

Galaxy V900 Creates Core Advantages with Extended Range Power and Super Spacious Design

Helping Geely Enter the High-End MPV Market

[PCauto] The Geely Galaxy V900 extended-range electric vehicle has officially launched in the Chinese market. This mid-to-large high-end MPV is an important step in Geely's entry into the high-end MPV segment, injecting new dynamics into this competitive submarket with its extended-range powertrain, flexible seating layout, and ultimate space design.

Simply put, the core of the Galaxy V900’s product design focuses on the travel needs of both family and business users. It especially excels in space optimization, showcasing best-in-class hard power, aptly earning the title of a true space master.

First of all, let's talk about the impressive aspect of the Galaxy V900, which is equipped with an extended-range system consisting of a 1.5T engine and dual motors, offering a pure electric range of 260 kilometers.

Moreover, with the motor as the primary power source, it not only drives smoothly and provides a quiet cabin like a pure electric vehicle but also solves the range anxiety for long-distance travel through its range-extending technology. This technological approach allows it to rely on the engine to recharge the battery even in suburban or rural areas with insufficient charging infrastructure, eliminating concerns about running out of power.

It is worth mentioning that this range-extended system adopts a compact layout, creating favorable conditions for maximizing cabin space. Coupled with the new vehicle's H5 advanced driving assistance system supported by Geely's Haohan architecture, it enhances practicality and convenience for all-scenario travel.

Speaking of which, it is truly necessary to mention the Galaxy V900's space advantage that permeates its entire design. The vehicle's body dimensions and internal layout have been optimized for maximum utility.

With a body length, width, and height of 5360mm × 1998mm × 1920mm, and a wheelbase of 3200mm, it establishes a solid foundation for interior space. The space utilization rate within its class is as high as 91.8%, translating the vehicle's dimensions into tangible driving and cabin room.

The interior effective length reaches 3974mm, truly realizing the design goal of a "compact exterior, spacious interior." With an interior width of 1645mm and height of 1334mm, there’s no need to worry about feeling a sense of heaviness or oppression within the MPV.

In addition, the flexible and versatile seat layout is key to maximizing space utilization, offering three options: 6-seater, 7-seater, and 8-seater.

And the Galaxy V900 adheres to the concept of equal legroom for all three rows, ensuring that the legroom for the second and third rows does not exceed 1000mm, making the third row no longer just temporary seating. Even taller passengers can sit without needing to constantly bend their legs.

Moreover, the 6-seater version supports a 180° full recline for the third row with a one-touch operation, combined with comfortable seat functions, turning long trips into a mobile resting cabin in seconds.

The 7-seater version features a third-row backrest adjustable up to 137°, along with zero-pressure leg supports and sleep headrests to alleviate fatigue from prolonged sitting.

The 8-seater version's fourth-row seats support forward flip seating, rearward flip for viewing, and complete folding for concealment. When folded and stowed, the trunk depth reaches 919mm, capable of holding 15 20-inch suitcases, while still providing twice the storage capacity of other vehicles in the same class when fully occupied.

Speaking of detailed design, the practicality of the space is emphasized. The 2720mm long aisle running through the entire vehicle brings a convenient experience. The second-row central aisle is 200mm wide, and the third-row central aisle is 168mm wide, allowing elderly and children to access the third row without moving the seats.

The vehicle also features 27 storage spaces, paired with a 9.1L hot and cold box that provides temperature regulation between -6°C and 50°C. At the same time, the body adopts a "ten horizontal and four vertical" floor structure with 2000MPa ultra-high-strength hot-formed steel, maximizing space while ensuring the sturdiness of the body.

Through a complete cabin structure, crash energy-absorbing zones, and a multidirectional collision force management system, a dual guarantee of space and safety is formed.

Such spatial advantages provide the Galaxy V900 with a unique breakthrough point in the fiercely competitive high-end MPV market. Facing rivals like the Denza D9, Xpeng X9, and WEY G9, the Galaxy V900 combines range-extended power with a super spacious design, perfectly meeting the core needs of many MPV consumers.

With no worries about range and optimal use of space, especially for multi-member families, the flexible seat layout and ample storage space can adapt to different travel scenarios, ensuring the whole family can sit comfortably and use it conveniently.
