Jaguar Type 00 concept car stuns appearance! "Copy Nothing" design concept!

On December 3rd, the Jaguar Type 00 concept car was officially unveiled at Art Basel Miami. The car previews Jaguar's new design language following the brand's rejuvenation. The first production model is expected to be released by the end of 2025, with deliveries starting in 2026, and it will be priced above $130,000. Additionally, Jaguar plans to launch three luxury electric vehicles by 2030.

Jaguar's new philosophy is "copy nothing," and the first concept car of the new era is aiming to convey this idea. The unveiling of the new vehicle confirms the accuracy of earlier leaked information. The Jaguar Type 00 is a two-door coupe with a long hood, low roofline, and a fastback rear profile, with no rear window. Jaguar's Chief Creative Officer, Gerry McGovern, stated in a speech, "At its peak, Jaguar abandoned design rules to create the E-Type and XJS... cars that were truly aspirational."

The Jaguar Type 00 has a very minimalist design, with a louver-style grille at the center featuring the brand's latest logo. The headlights on both sides are designed with four linear LED strips. The rear design is similar to the front, with the taillights positioned centrally, and the car also features a closed rear window design.

The name of the new concept car not only pays homage to the 1961 Jaguar E-Type but also acknowledges the complete reset of the Jaguar brand, marking its return with zero-emission vehicles.

Official details on the powertrain have not been released, but it is reported that the car will be built on the JEA platform, supporting 800V technology. The motor will produce over 575 horsepower, with a range exceeding 692 km. The car will also be capable of charging up to 200 miles of range in just 15 minutes.
