Not only do Chery sells well in China and Malaysia! Its sales volume in May reached 188,556 units

Recently, Chery Group announced its sales data for May. In May this year, the group sold 188,556 units, a year-on-year increase of 35.5%; among them, 92,481 units were exported, a year-on-year increase of 20.4%. And from January to May this year, the cumulative sales of vehicles were 900,209 units, a year-on-year increase of 51%. As of now, the total number of Chery Group's global car users has exceeded 14 million, with nearly 3.8 million overseas users.
In terms of new-energy car sales, the sales of new-energy vehicles was 42,733 in May, a year-on-year increase of 279.3%; from January to May, the cumulative sales of new-energy vehicles was 135,861, a year-on-year increase of 168.9%. The monthly sales growth of Chery's new-energy vehicles has exceeded 100% for three consecutive months, with a growth of more than 2 times in May.
In terms of exports, Chery Group's cumulative exports of vehicles from January to May were 435,124, a year-on-year increase of 31%, continuing to maintain China's number one car export volume.
In May of this year, the Chery Group continued to launch new products frequently: Chery Group's high-end new-energy vehicle Sterra ET was globally launched on May 9, and it is also the first product of the Chery Group that pure electric and range-extended power are synchronized on the market. On May 21, the Chery medium and large-sized plug-in hybrid SUV Fengyun T9 was launched. From the start of pre-sale on April 18 to the official launch, the number of Fengyun T9 orders exceeded 45,000 in just one month.
In addition, Chery Group also launched a batch of upgraded models in May, including the whole-new generation Tiggo 7, Jetour X90 PLUS, etc., further enriching the multi-energy product lineup of "fuel, hybrid, pure electric, and range extender". The sales volume in June may increase again, and it is hoped that more car models from Chery will be launched in Malaysia and give people more choices.
