Is it Hard to Sell Porsche? Global Sales Fell by 7% YoY in the First half of the Year!

Recently, we learned from related channels that Porsche's global sales in the first half of the year were 155,945 units, compared to 167,354 units in the same period of 2023, a decrease of 7% year-on-year.
In Europe (except Germany), Porsche delivered 38,611 units in the first half of this year, an increase of 6% compared to the same period last year. The domestic market in Germany had a delivery of 20,811 units, an increase of 22%. And in the North American market, Porsche delivered 39,558 units, a year-on-year decline of 6%. The overseas and emerging market were 27,414 units, a year-on-year decrease of 2%.
However, this result could turn around in the second half of this year. Detlev von Platen, a member of the Porsche's Executive Board for Sales and Marketing stated that, in 2024, Porsche will launch the most powerful product matrix in history. The brand will continue to focus on triple drive systems, namely pure electric, hybrid, and fuel cars to meet the preferences and needs of all regions of the world, which includes the pure electric 718 that has been road-tested domestically and the pure electric Macan that will start delivery in the second half of the year.
