Proton e.MAS 7: Local Produced Electric SUV Officially Debuts, 0-100km/h in 6.9s, 470km Range!

Proton announces the pricing details of its first mass-produced electric car, the Proton e.MAS 7, which will be released in December. The special significance of Proton e.MAS 7 comes from the fact that it's the first locally produced electric car in Malaysia. Even though this model was produced together with Chinese automobile manufacturer Geely, and similar models have already been released in China, its unique value cannot be dismissed.
It's worth mentioning that Perodua is also actively developing and pushing its own electric car to market. It's reported that this car will be based on Perodua Myvi model, with a projected price of less than RM 100,000.

Although the final price of Proton e.MAS 7 has not yet been determined, the starting price is expected to be approximately RM 120,000. It is now open for reservations and will offer two models: the entry-level Prime and the more advanced Premium.
How is Proton e.MAS 7 Interior?
For its interior, with a wheelbase of 2750mm, it can be inferred that Proton e.MAS 7 has a spacious cabin, which will bring a comfortable riding experience for passengers. Proton e.MAS 7 also has leading storage space in its class, with a total of 33 storage spaces throughout the car, including drawers under the rear passenger seats, ensuring a perfect blend of practicality and style.
All seats in Proton e.MAS 7 are made of high-quality synthetic leather, and the Premium model has additional functions such as memory function for the driver's seat and ventilation function for all seats.

What is the specification of Proton e.MAS 7?
Proton e.MAS 7 is the first domestically produced electric vehicle from the Malaysian car brand Proton. It's positioned as a C-Segment SUV, with dimensions of 4,615mm x 1,901mm x 1,670mm and a wheelbase of 2,750mm.

As for the power system, Proton e.MAS 7 employs a 12-in-1 smart electric drive system. Its maximum horsepower reaches 214hp (160kW), and its peak torque is 320Nm. It accelerates from 0 to 100km/h in 6.9 seconds and has a top speed of 175km/h.

Regarding battery life, the Prime version is equipped with a 49.52kWh battery pack, offering a range of 345 kilometers under WLTP conditions. The Premium version is equipped with a 60.22kWh battery pack, offering a range of 410 kilometers under WLTP conditions and up to 470 kilometers under NEDC conditions.
