Recently, we obtained a set of interior spy shots of the BYD SeaLion 05 EV from relevant sources. The model has recently completed the MIIT declaration in China, featuring completely new look design. As shown in the spy shots, its interior has also incorporated a lot of innovations based on SeaLion family-style design, which is expected to bring fresh feelings.

Take a closer look at the shots. The new model still adopts a combination of a digital instrument panel and a floating central control screen, and it is expected to be equipped with a HUD (head-up display). The test vehicle is equipped with a three-spoke steering wheel, which somewhat resembles the BYD Seal 06 DM-i. Behind the steering wheel, we can find that it adopts a design of steering column shift, and therefore it is expected that there will be a new layout format in the central channel. Notably, the air conditioning vents are designed in a vertical layout, which is an overall effect worth anticipating.

Go back to the exterior. The model adopts a completely different design from the BYD SeaLion 05 DM-i. Its front face features a through-type headlight, which is distinctive and a characteristic feature when lit. The closed grille is flanked by vertical air intakes, paired with a trapezoidal front bumper, which exhibits a sporty overall feeling.

On the side, the car is equipped with a semi-hidden door handle and wind- resistance rims. Besides, the smoke-blackened parts on the side skirts and wheel brows forms a cohesive look, enhanced by the curves that showcases an impressive aesthetic design. Regarding the size of the car body, the length, width, and height of the vehicle are 4520/1860/1630mm respectively, and the wheelbase is 2720mm. In the tail part, the new car is equipped with wave-like penetrating tail lights, together with a roof spoiler on the top, making the overall feel more youthful and stylish.

In terms of power, the vehicle is equipped with a permanent magnet synchronous motor, model TZ200XSAY, which can output a maximum power of 140kW, paired with a lithium iron phosphate battery pack, achieving a top speed of 180km/h. Additionally, we can also see that it features an independent rear suspension.
