It is reported that Jaguar Land Rover CFO Richard Molyneux informed investors that production at the company's main supplier, Novelis plant, was disrupted due to floods, leading to a shortage of aluminum materials. This is the biggest obstacle the company is currently facing.
Molyneux said that the shortage of key materials will "limit the company's production for the rest of this quarter and the next quarter." Recently, Molyneux stated inJaguar Land Rover's latest quarterly earnings conference call, "We will do everything possible to ensure that the shortage of aluminum materials will not hinder the achievement of this year's earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) target. Our industry operation team is very good at finding alternative resources, and we are also utilizing the ecosystem of Tata Group to seek help."
