Earlier this year, the revamped Mercedes-Benz GLA was launched in Malaysia in the form of GLA200. Now, the new GLA series has added a new member - the 2024 Mercedes-Benz GLA250 4MATIC.

The 2024 Mercedes-Benz GLA 250 4Matic is priced at RM 295,888 in Malaysia. This car is locally assembled at the Pekan factory in Malaysia (CKD), making it more competitive in terms of price, while maintaining the high quality and luxury of Mercedes-Benz.

Power System and Performance

The GLA 250 4Matic is equipped with a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine with a maximum power of 224 horsepower and a peak torque of 350 Nm. This engine is equipped with a 48-volt mild hybrid system, which can provide an additional 14 horsepower and 150 Nm of acceleration boost through the belt-driven starter generator (BSG). This not only enhances the dynamic response of the vehicle but also improves fuel economy and driving smoothness.

In terms of transmission, the GLA 250 uses an 8-speed wet dual-clutch gearbox (DCT) and is equipped with a 4Matic all-wheel drive system. This system can intelligently distribute torque as required, improving the stability and control of the vehicle in various road conditions. The 0-100km/h acceleration time of the GLA 250 is 6.8 seconds, and the top speed is 240km/h.

Exterior Design

The 2024 GLA 250 features the AMG Line sports package, giving it a more dynamic and aggressive appearance. At the front, the vehicle is equipped with a diamond radiator grille, decorated with chrome pins, paired with a newly designed front bumper, closer to the design style of AMG high-performance models.

The front and rear lights of the vehicle have been redesigned as well, LED high-performance headlamps, and LED tail lamps not only provide broader and more accurate illumination but also add a sense of technology visually.

In addition, the GLA 250 is equipped with 19-inch AMG five-spoke alloy wheels that is full of sportiness. The newly added Spectral Blue metallic paint color offers more personalized choices for the owners, making the entire car more eye-catching.

Interior and Technology Configuration

Inside the car, the interior of the GLA 250 is equally luxurious and tech-savvy. The cabin is equipped with two 10.25-inch display screens, serving as a digital dashboard and a touch-infotainment system. The latest MBUX (Mercedes-Benz User Experience) system provides users with intuitive and powerful multimedia experiences, supporting wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connections.

The design of the control panel is simpler, removing the traditional central touchpad and replacing it with a shallow storage grid. Users can operate the infotainment system via the touch screen. The new multifunctional sports steering wheel is wrapped in Nappa leather that provides an excellent grip and control experience.

The seats are made of ARTICO man-made leather and MICROCUT microfiber materials, not only providing a comfortable sitting experience but also enhancing the sporty atmosphere in the car. The 64-color LED ambient light and dual-zone automatic air conditioning system further enhance the luxury and comfort in the car.

The technological configuration of the GLA 250 also includes:

Compared with other small luxury SUVs on the market, the GLA 250 has a clear advantage in competition with its excellent all-wheel drive system, 48 Volt mild hybrid technology and rich configuration.

The 2024 Mercedes-Benz GLA 250 4Matic is a small SUV that combines luxury, performance and technology. Whether it's for city commuting or long-distance travel, it can provide drivers with an exceptional driving experience and a comfortable riding environment.
