The All-electric Mercedes-Benz G-Class will Make its Global Debut at the Beijing Auto Show

Recently, we learned from the Mercedes-Benz official that the official has announced the new car lineup to participate in the upcoming Beijing Auto Show, which includes 1 global debut model, 7 China debut and auto show first show models, and 8 new models on the Chinese market with a very strong lineup. The Beijing Auto Show will officially open on April 25.

Specifically, the Mercedes-Benz pure electric G-class off-road vehicle (EQG) will make its global debut. The new car continues the appearance design of the fuel version of G-class and incorporates EQ family elements in detail to highlight the identity of pure electric vehicles.

The biggest highlight of this car is the use of independent motors on all four wheels and the use of this feature to achieve independent driving on all four wheels, with the capability of tank turnaround function. At the same time, it will also use independent suspension and a new rear axle structure and be equipped with three locks. It is expected to have good off-road capabilities. In terms of the range, the official said that the new car will be equipped with a newly developed silicon anode battery, which will increase the energy density of the battery by 20%-40%.

In addition, models like the CLA-class concept car will make their first appearance in China, while the ALL NEW Mercedes-MAYBACH EQS pure electric SUV will officially go on sale at this Beijing Auto Show. Mercedes-Benz will also bring a new MB.OS operating system, which will also make its debut in China. The system is the predecessor of the third-generation MBUX smart human-computer interaction system, built based on a software-driven new electronic architecture, a new upgraded 5G communication module, covering from vehicle to cloud, decoupling of software and hardware systems, through the intelligent cockpit, intelligent driving assist functions, body and comfort functions, driving, and charging functions, etc., defining the next generation of intelligent innovation direction for Benz.
