Volvo is often associated with safety and environmental consciousness, and the launch of the Volvo EX90 during the 2024 Motor EXPO is likely to strengthen this impression.

As the electric version of the XC90, the EX90 serves as Volvo's flagship all-electric SUV. It incorporates numerous elements typical of electric vehicles. For instance, the car features a fully enclosed grille design and Volvo's signature headlamp shape, with the lights even capable of mimicking a "blink" when on.

The EX90's body is quite large, even slightly longer than the XC90. This can be clearly seen through the comparison function on the website.

Thanks to its substantial size, the EX90 offers multiple seating configurations, including five-seat, six-seat, and seven-seat versions. However, the third row might not be ideal for long periods of sitting.

In terms of safety, Volvo has also placed great emphasis on this aspect for the EX90. The vehicle's torsional rigidity has been increased by 50%, and its collision energy absorption ability has been enhanced by 20%, improving both occupant safety and battery protection underneath the car.

Further strengthening battery safety, the EX90 uses a highly durable boron steel shell to protect the battery pack, along with a high-strength aluminum alloy frame. This ensures that the battery remains unaffected even in the event of a collision, significantly reducing the risk of fire.

The EX90 is also equipped with a lidar system for the first time, powered by Nvidia’s Orin chip for robust computing performance. This system can detect black vehicles up to 250 meters away and black tires up to 120 meters, even during night driving, ensuring high recognition rates for safety.

As for the powertrain, the EX90 is equipped with an 111kWh battery, offering a range of 600 kilometers (Plus model) or 590 kilometers (Performance model). The charging speed is also impressive, with a 250kW fast charger that can charge the battery from 10% to 80% in just 30 minutes. The EX90 comes in AWD variants with two motor options:

Dual Motor Plus
The maximum horsepower of dual single-machine is 403 Ps
Maximum torque is 770 N·m
0-100 km/h acceleration time is 5.9 seconds
Top speed: 180 km/H
Maximum endurance mileage of 600 kilometers (WLTP standard)

Dual Motor Performance
The maximum horsepower of dual single-machine is 517Ps
Maximum torque is 910N·m
0-100 km/h acceleration time is 4.9 seconds
Top speed is 180 km/h
Maximum endurance mileage is 590 kilometers (WLTP standard)

The Volvo EX90 has made its debut at the 2024 Motor EXPO and will be sold in Thailand through imports from China.
