Which vehicles will make their debut at MOTOR SHOW 2025?

【PCauto】The Bangkok International Motor Show 2025 in Thailand, one of Asia’s and the world’s premier automotive exhibitions, continues to draw a multitude of brands eager to unveil their latest models.

This year’s show runs from March 26 to April 6. On regular days, the exhibition welcomes visitors from 12:00 to 22:00, while on weekends and public holidays, it opens at 11:00 until 22:00. During the event, different brands will introduce their new models. Here’s a glimpse of some vehicles scheduled to make their debut:


1. BYD:

Based on the e-platform 3.0, ATTO 2, a globally available compact fully electric SUV delivers 177 horsepower along with an NEDC range of 367 kilometers.

SEAL 05 DM-i, featuring fifth-generation DM-i super hybrid technology, offers a pure-electric range of 55 or 120 kilometers (CLTC) and a total range of 2000 kilometers.

BAO 8 debuts as a rugged SUV powered by a 2.0T plug-in hybrid system that produces a combined 748 horsepower and 760 Nm of torque, with a total range of 1200 kilometers and a pure-electric range of 125 kilometers.

2. DEEPAL S05:

This 5-door, 5-seat compact new energy SUV is available in multiple trims in China, including a pure-electric version and a range-extended variant. The pure-electric model’s motor delivers a maximum output of 175 kW with a CLTC range of 510 kilometers, while the range-extended version offers an engine peaking at 72 kW paired with a drive motor of up to 160 kW. The tech-rich interior features a 15.4-inch “Sunflower Screen” powered by DEEPAL OS 3.0 system on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 chip, a 48-megapixel gimbal camera, and multifunctional light-shadow headlights.

3. GWM HAVAL H6:

A mid-cycle facelift model, branded as HAVAL H6 HEV, comes with enhancements including a larger, frameless air intake grille and an extended body length by 50 mm. The cabin now adopts a streamlined design that replaces most physical buttons with a 10.25-inch fully digital instrument cluster, a 14.6-inch floating central touchscreen, and a 9-inch head-up display. A rotary gear selector completes the new design, which is further complemented by the inclusion of 50W wireless charging functionality.

4. AION UT:

A remarkably attractive fully electric hatchback, AION UT is noted for its smooth and rounded design, offering multiple body color options and dual-tone finishes. Its sharp headlights and distinctive “grid-like” lighting design add dynamism to its flowing lines. The interior provides a 5-seat layout with a dual-tone finish, featuring a 14.6-inch central touchscreen and an 8.8-inch digital instrument panel. A multifunctional dual-spoke steering wheel and an electronic rotary gear selector underscore the high-tech feel. Under the hood, a 100 kW drive motor powers the vehicle, available in CLTC range options of 330 and 420 kilometers, with fast-charging that boosts the battery from 30% to 80% in just 24 minutes.

5. MG IM6:

It is a medium-sized full-electric SUV is offered in a Premium rear-wheel drive version as well as a high-performance AWD variant. The rear-wheel drive model produces 295 horsepower with an NEDC range of 550 kilometers, while the AWD version delivers a formidable 787 horsepower with an NEDC range of 634 kilometers, further enhanced by an intelligent air suspension system. The vehicle is distinguished by its integration of smart chips and body hardware, embodying a forward-thinking design in electric mobility.


6. OMODA x JAECOO JAECOO 7 SHS:

Built on CHERY Explore 06 platform, this model comes with a 1.5L plug-in hybrid system. It delivers a combined output of 374 horsepower and 525 Nm of torque, an NEDC pure-electric range of 106 kilometers, and an overall NEDC range of 1300 kilometers. This model is expected to be imported from Malaysia.

7. Mazda 6e:

Jointly developed by Mazda and CHANGAN Automobile in China on the CHANGAN EPA hybrid platform, with Mazda steering the design and chassis calibration, the pure-electric version of Mazda 6e employs a single rear-mounted motor that delivers a maximum output of 190 kW and peak torque of 320 Nm. It offers two battery capacity options, 56.1 kWh and 68.8 kWh, achieving pure-electric CLTC ranges of 480 and 600 kilometers respectively, and supports 3C ultra-fast charging that can theoretically boost the battery from 30% to 80% in just 15 minutes.

8. BMW M5 Touring:

This high-performance station wagon is driven by a V8 plug-in hybrid system that outputs a combined 727 horsepower and 1000 Nm of torque. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.6 seconds, reaches a top speed of 140 km/h in pure-electric mode, offers a WLTP range of 61–67 kilometers, and comes fitted with MxDrive four-wheel-drive system.

9. Honda e:N1:

A fully electric model derived from Honda HR-V, Honda e:N1 is set to be imported into China. It features a 204-horsepower motor paired with a 68.8 kWh lithium battery, offering a WLTP range exceeding 412 kilometers or up to 485 kilometers (NEDC), complemented by the Honda SENSING safety suite.

10. FORD Everest Sport Special Edition:

This special edition of the Everest model showcases an enhanced exterior sporting a black sport package, and it is powered by a 2.0T diesel engine producing 170 horsepower.

11. Mitsubishi X FORCE HEV:

A compact SUV incorporating the e:MOTION hybrid system, Mitsubishi X FORCE HEV comes equipped with seven distinct driving modes and an AYC active yaw control system. Sales and reservations for this model will commence during the show.

12. Nissan Serena e:Power C28:

This multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) is powered by the e-Power range-extended hybrid system, which combines a 1.4L gasoline engine with dual motors and a lithium battery. It delivers a combined output of 163 horsepower and 315 Nm of torque, features an e-Pedal electronic accelerator and will be showcased at the exhibition, with pricing expected to be announced soon.

13. Suzuki eVITARA:

Available in Standard 2WD, Extended 2WD, and Performance 4WD versions, Suzuki eVITARA features various motor and battery configurations with WLTP ranges reaching up to 243 kilometers or 286 kilometers (NEDC). In addition, the compact SUV variant FRONX comes equipped with a 1.5L Mild Hybrid SHVS system paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission, boasting an upgraded battery capacity and impressive fuel efficiency.

The Bangkok International Motor Show 2025, one of Asia’s most important automotive events, will feature not only 13 confirmed models but also a range of innovative vehicles, further highlighting the global trend of electric and hybrid technologies.

These new models range from compact SUVs to high-performance tourers, meeting the diverse needs of different consumers. At the show, visitors can experience the advanced features of these vehicles up close, including intelligent driving assistance systems and fast-charging technologies.

The show organizers emphasized that this motor show aims to promote the green transformation of the Southeast Asian market and accelerate the popularization of electric vehicles through a diverse product line.

In addition, the Toyota bZ4X, a pure-electric SUV built on the e-TNGA platform, will make its debut in Thailand. It is available in front-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive versions, with maximum power outputs of 150kW and 160kW respectively, and a CLTC range of up to 500 kilometers. The vehicle is equipped with a 12.3-inch central control screen and the Toyota Safety Sense system, supporting full-speed adaptive cruise control.

The Volvo EX30, another notable pure-electric model, is positioned as a small SUV. It is powered by a rear-mounted single motor with a maximum power of 200kW and a CLTC range of 480 kilometers. The car is equipped with the Google Android Automotive OS system, a 9-inch digital instrument cluster, and a 12.3-inch central control screen, highlighting its interior made of sustainable materials.

The high-performance Hyundai IONIQ 5 N will make its debut at the show. It is equipped with a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system, with a combined power of 650 horsepower and a WLTP range of 550 kilometers. It supports 800V ultra-fast charging technology, capable of charging from 0 to 80% in 10 minutes. The interior features an augmented reality HUD and a Bang & Olufsen sound system.

The Kia EV9, a large pure-electric SUV, will also be on display at the show, offering a three-row, seven-seat layout. Based on the E-GMP platform, it has a maximum power of 380 horsepower and a NEDC range of 600 kilometers. It is equipped with an intelligent air suspension and a 27-inch panoramic display. The Kia Connect system supports remote OTA updates, and the price is expected to be THB1,800,000 (approximately RM150,000 or USD 51,429). Meanwhile, the Lexus RZ 450e will showcase its luxury electric SUV version, featuring DIRECT4 all-wheel-drive technology, a power of 313 horsepower, and a WLTP range of 520 kilometers. The interior is equipped with a Mark Levinson sound system and a 14-inch touchscreen, emphasizing a quiet driving experience.

The show will also focus on concept cars, such as the Honda e:N GT Concept, a pure-electric coupe concept car that previews the future design language. It uses solid-state battery technology, with a theoretical WLTP range of 800 kilometers and supports wireless charging. The Mazda Iconic SP concept car demonstrates rotary engine range-extender technology, with a combined power of 365 horsepower and a CLTC pure-electric range of 150 kilometers, highlighting its lightweight body. These concept cars indicate the direction of industry innovation, and on-site visitors can experience their interior layouts through virtual reality.

Participating brands like Nissan and Mitsubishi will also launch localized versions. For example, the Southeast Asian-customized Nissan Ariya has an optimized battery thermal management system to adapt to the tropical climate, with a NEDC range of 450 kilometers.

Overall, the lineup of vehicles at this motor show reflects the rapid development of electric vehicles, with the range generally increased to over 400 kilometers and fast-charging technology becoming a standard feature. The show organizers expect that these new models will stimulate sales growth in the Thai and Malaysian markets and boost the regional electric vehicle penetration rate to over 20%.
