On November 13th, Xiaomi officially announced that the 100,000th unit of the Xiaomi SU7 has rolled off the production line, setting a new record for the fastest 100,000-unit production by a new car company in just 230 days. Lei Jun, the founder, chairman, and CEO of Xiaomi, was present at the Xiaomi Auto factory to witness this milestone. Lei Jun also stated that the Xiaomi Auto factory will continue to expand its production capacity, with a goal of delivering 120,000 units by the end of the year.

For your reference, the Xiaomi SU7 was officially launched on March 28th of this year, offering three trim levels with a price range of 215,900 to 299,900 RMB. It is available in both single-motor rear-wheel drive and dual-motor all-wheel drive options. The vehicle has a maximum CLTC electric range of 830 km, with the all-wheel-drive version achieving a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of just 2.78 seconds and a top speed of 265 km/h.
The Xiaomi SU7 was exhibited from October 16 to 20, 2024, at the Suria KLCC shopping mall in Kuala Lumpur. However, the exhibition was not intended for the car's sale in Malaysia; instead, it was part of a technology promotion event, coinciding with the launch of Xiaomi's latest smartphones. The showcased model, the Xiaomi SU7 Max, features all-wheel drive, dual motors, a top speed of 265 km/h, 673 horsepower, and 838 Nm of torque. It offers a single-charge range of up to 800 km. As more Chinese automakers choose to enter Southeast Asia, Xiaomi Auto's exhibition activities could signal the potential opening of the Southeast Asian market.

Thanks to its relatively affordable price, stunning design, advanced smart features, and impressive power and range, the Xiaomi SU7 achieved remarkable sales after it was made available that evening. Within just 4 minutes of going on sale, orders surpassed 10,000; in 27 minutes, orders exceeded 50,000 units, setting a new standard for high-volume orders and marking a shift to measuring in minutes. Within 24 hours of its launch, the order volume reached 88,898 units, setting a new record for order numbers at the launch of a new car in China.

The Xiaomi SU7 Ultra is now available for pre-order, with a starting price of 814,900 RMB. The new model is set to be officially released in March 2025. As an all-new variant, the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra features a sportier exterior package and is equipped with a triple-motor all-wheel-drive system, delivering a total output of 1,548 horsepower. The car can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 1.98 seconds, with a top speed exceeding 350 km/h. According to Lei Jun, the pre-sale for the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra saw over 3,680 units ordered within just 10 minutes of its launch.

The prototype of the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra set a new record on the Nürburgring Nordschleife, completing the lap in 6 minutes, 46.874 seconds, and breaking the lap time record for four-door cars. It is now the fastest four-door car in Nürburgring history. The record was set by British racing driver David Pittard, who previously won a race and set a new event record in 2023 driving the Ferrari 296 GT3 in collaboration with the Frikadelli Racing team. The Xiaomi SU7 Ultra is equipped with an innovative Kirin II battery pack, which boasts a maximum discharge power of 1,330 kW, and is capable of maintaining an output of 800 kW even at 20% battery charge. Additionally, the battery pack supports a 5.2C charging rate, allowing it to charge from 10% to 80% in just 11 minutes.
