Recently, there has been news that XIAOMI's third model will be an SUV product, internally code-named "Kunlun". The vehicle is expected to feature a range-extender drive, equipped with a rear-wheel steering system, and fitted with three rows of seats. It is expected to start at around 150,000 yuan and is likely to be officially launched in 2026. An informed source said: "Kunlun, or KL, implies King's Landing, and its transformative impact will exceed everyone's expectation."

Range-extended electric vehicles combine the efficiency of electric drive and the long driving range of internal combustion engines, which allows Kunlun to drive short trips with battery in daily use, and effectively extends its range with the internal combustion engine during long journeys, thus alleviating drivers' range concerns about electric vehicles.

From the spy shots exposed by Chinese media, the new model appears to have a relatively large body size and adopts a boxy design, thereby ensuring internal space. Furthermore, it is rumored on the Internet that, to ensure timely delivery, the new model will either be manufactured by Dongfeng Motor in Wuhan or in Dongfeng's existing plants after their acquisition and transformation.
