The Lexus UX 200, a compact SUV, competes in the market against the Mercedes-Benz GLA, BMW X1, Audi Q3, and Volvo XC40. Lexus Malaysia offers 3 versions, priced from RM 243,888 to RM 299,888, with vehicles fully imported from Japan.

Power System

Equipped with a 2.0-liter naturally aspirated gasoline engine and CVT automatic transmission. This engine is Toyota's latest Dynamic Force gasoline engine, featuring direct injection, Dual VVT-i technology and high compression ratio (13:1). The transmission is a Direct-Shift CVT, with mechanical start gears and 10-speed virtual ratios, capable of delivering 171 PS and 205 Nm of torque to the front wheels. The power output is linear, the throttle response is quick, and there is sufficient power during high-speed acceleration.

Although the Lexus UX 200 does not have as strong a power as its turbocharged competitors, it offers the most refined and high-end power system in this market segment.

Driving Experience

Based on the Lexus global architecture platform, it has a low center of gravity, double wishbone suspension setup and sturdy structure, providing a fun and dynamic driving experience. Among entry-level Lexus SUVs, the UX 200 has the strongest dynamic performance. The seating position is appropriate, the steering is sensitive, and the chassis can keep up with the driver's input, even more controllable than BMW.

Ride Quality

Outstanding ride quality, equipped with 18-inch alloy wheels can gracefully eliminate undulations, coupled with quiet cabin, making it one of the most comfortable cars in this market segment.

Interior Configuration

Adopt driver-centric design, the center console is tilted towards the driver and button layout is convenient to operate. But the cabin practicality is not as good as some competitors, the available storage space in the front row is smaller than Volvo XC40, and the rear passenger side does not have a door storage bin. The rear space is somewhat cramped for passengers over 180cm tall but is more spacious than the Mercedes-Benz GLA. The trunk space is only 271 liters, the smallest in its class.
