Overview

The Toyota Yaris aims to challenge the Honda Jazz's dominant position in the sub-market.

Power System

On the power side, the Yaris has a nominal figure of 107 horsepower and 140 Nm. The actual test showed that it took 12.5 seconds for the 0 - 100 km/h acceleration and 16.6 seconds for the 0 - 100 - 0 km/h, which is slightly slower than its competitors. However, in actual driving, the Yaris has a good power response and excellent torque distribution. Its CVT gearbox is smooth and quiet, even better than the CVT performance of the Honda Jazz. In addition, the Yaris also has normal, sport and eco driving modes.

Fuel Consumption

With a mix of stop-and-go traffic and highway cruising, the Yaris' fuel consumption is 5.8 liters per 100 kilometers, which is excellent in terms of fuel economy.

Body Dimension

The test vehicle panel gap at its widest point is 6 millimeters and at its narrowest is 3.5 millimeters. The paint thickness is generally thin, about 90 microns, and the driver's side door is slightly thicker, over 170 microns.

Interior Configuration

The interior is primarily black with a small amount of silver accents. The seats are made of soft black material with blue stitching. There is plenty of storage space in the car, but the central storage divider is small. In terms of infotainment system, the Yaris does not have Android Auto, T-Link can project phone content onto a 6.8-inch touch screen, but there is a screen direction problem. The front row of the car has only 1 USB charging port, while the rear row has 2.

Safety System

Equipped with common VSC and traction control, blind spot monitoring, rear cross traffic alert and a 360-degree view when reversing, it also has 7 safety airbags.
