On September 25, Chery Tiggo 9 and Chery Tiggo 9 CDM under Chery were officially launched. Among them, the 2025 Chery Tiggo 9 pushed 5 models, and the official guide price is 152,900 to 203,900 Yuan (RM90,000—120,000); Chery Tiggo 9 CMD has 2 models, and the official guide price is 165,900 to 175,900 Yuan (RM98k-104k).
Except for the different power systems, the interior and exterior designs of Chery Tiggo 9 and Chery Tiggo 9 CMD are identical. It is worth mentioning that, Chery Tiggo 9 will be named Jaecoo J8 in the future, and it will land in Malaysia later this year. Let's look forward to the performance of this model in Malaysia.
In terms of exterior design, the Chery Tiggo 9 is 4,820 millimeters long, 1,930 millimeters wide, 1,699 millimeters high, and the wheelbase is 2,820 millimeters. There has been a slight change in the design. The grille bars at the front of the car have been made denser, and the lower grille uses a U-shaped design to increase the impact of the front of the car.
In terms of power, Chery Tiggo 9 is equipped with a Kunpeng 2.0T engine, with a maximum power of 192kW and a maximum torque of 400N·m. It is matched with the Aisin 8AT/7DCT gearbox, and it also comes with a CDC variable damping suspension.
Chery Tiggo 9 C-DM is equipped with the Kunpeng Super Power Hybrid C-DM, including a 1.5T hybrid-specific engine. This engine has a maximum thermal efficiency of 44.5%, a maximum power output of 115kW, and a maximum torque of 220N·m, achieving fuel consumption of 5.45L per 100 km under the WLTC cycle.
This vehicle also features a 3DHT gearbox, a unique dual motor drive, 3 physical gears, the engine can participate in driving under hybrid mode at 18km/h, and the entire system's CLTC pure electric range is 106km, and the WLTC combined range is over 1400km.
Chery Tiggo 9 also supports the L2.5 level intelligent driving assistance system, with added BSD blind spot monitoring and DOW door opening warning system. Other highlight features include SONY's 12 speakers, electronic gear storage, panoramic sunroof, power-folding & heating exterior rearview mirrors, 540° full view image, power tailgate, etc.
